@@EricSaavy We believe that we are to obey the laws of the land unless they go against God...such as abortion,gay marriage, marijuana use, corrupt politics, false doctrines that lead to idolatry etc. We DO ,by the POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND ONLY HIS POWER , KEEP the Holy ,Just and GOOD TEN COMMANDMENTS as well as the dietary laws of Leviticus.

We kissed, She sucked my personal part and I sucked touch and press hers.. It's a mistake because we didn't know how to control we were so young . Except we didn't have sex... I make notes on a sermon because I just can’t remember. I’ve tried memorizing scripture but it’s not easy. I remember when I’m relaxed. Stressed, forget it, but thankfully the Holy Spirit brings it to mind when needed. I study subjects and put it in a word document. After that I plan to print it and put it in my bible for sharing. Making references to scripture in my bible. I thought it was sacrilege to write in a bible and felt self conscious about taking it to church because I didn’t want anyone to think I knew the word more than others. I’m not that way anymore. The more one gets into the word the more exciting it gets when you see scripture linking with other verses throughout the bible.

Charisma 101 First off let’s set the ground rules to this debate. Being online is not work, also Jesus him self does good work during sabbath. Pharisees just added unneeded laws such a 200 step rule or something like that. Those laws and doctrines are doctrines of man. Sabbath keeping should be kept to the best of our knowledge an example of that would be not watching any medium that has nothing to do with God or the Bible, or something related to Gods glory.
Charisma 101 also I am not a follower of Ellen G white. Everything I believe comes from the Bible and not her. I do not believe in other worldly beings as she described... I do however agree on sabbath keeping as the Bible and Jesus teaches it. Jesus Christ kept the sabbath. John 14:15 says “if you love me you’ll keep my commandments” Jesus preaches a new life of following him. Following Jesus is turning from your old ways. Was Mary Magdalene still a whore after following Jesus? Or did she change her lifestyle to follow Jesus. Jesus doesn’t suit us, we must suit him as Jesus is perfect. He gives us grace by forgiving us. Grace is forgiveness of our sins. We cannot be forgiven if we are not sorry. Even if a person like Ted Bundy says I’m sorry for killing her, but then goes and kills another one. Is he really sorry? Jesus does not force himself upon anyone. Keeping his commandments is the true test to see if you love Jesus or if you love yourself. You must choose Jesus over your self, unless you be like satan and choose yourself instead.

@@EricSaavy Why are you so upset that Adventist's worship on a Saturday, Jesus worshipped on the 7th day Sabbath, he said "if you love me, you will keep my commandments" He loved His Father and kept His commandments when He lived on this earth, which included the 7th day Sabbath. The 4th commandment is the only one which starts with "Remember" the Sabbath day to keep it Holy, 6 days you will do all your work, but the 7th day is the Sabbath " God never changes, neither do His laws and nor should we change them because it suits us to. If we believe every word in the bible is given by the inspiration of God, then we should obey Him because we love Him. Blessings

I Love, have great confidence in the risen Christ and can say proudly i am righteous before God Because Christ imputes his righteousness to my account freely.
I can say I Am Saved, My past present and future sins have been dealt with by the Risen christ, I can say I am not under Judgement of the law But dead to the law and alive to Christ...
Does that mean i can now kill someone or commit adultery? This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus. Rev 14:12
Romans 6:14-16 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law, but under grace? Certainly not!...
God said if you love me keep my commandments. So shall we keep the commands not to be saved but because we are saved that we keep it and follow Him. Brother the bible does not contradict itself.
That is why continuous repentance and sanctification is necessary daily, for we are sinners. So we obey what he has commanded us, we may fall short but by the grace of God we can have the strength.

The Covenant ten commandments is a Complete Law system entered into 430 years after Abraham by Israel alone.
Christ was born under that whole , complete law system and You were not.
But all men now come to god by faith alone and grace alone apart from works of the law.
If you wish to have laws you look to the covenant ten commandments not "gods laws?
So this would be your way to righteousness-----
Rom 10:5
For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
This is me a saved Believer......
Rom 6:14
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
I want you to be saved today then this isnt possible if you have the righteousness of Moses.
You need a righteousness given to you as a gift, freely given by Faith.
I am Glad pastor doug said its ok to read other authors and "spit out the seeds". I often am reticent to talk to other Adventists about non-adventist authors because they put no value in anything non-Adventist. For example, I challenge anyone to read Henry Blackaby and then say his words don't move you to grow, or listen to Francis Chan. These are men of God, it is obvious.

Thank you for this sermon, its true we all need to grow and mature as Christians. However, I pray that one day you will see some of Ellen Whites teachings are not biblical and its especially dangerous to be telling people to be on guard for a Tribulation period that is yet to come to signal the end times. The truth is we are in the end times NOW, Jesus is coming back very very soon, in the bible all the signs he told us to look for are here, he is at the door. PRAISE JESUS!
Robt Clayton, Our government is so ungodly now and we are called to expose corruption and bad things of this world. If someone in authority asks us to do something against conscience then we are to follow GOD/our conscience first! I believe we should pray for our leaders and all the lost. The government have turned themselves into a circus show and the news is so full of lies I barely even follow it anymore. The return of Jesus is so near, he is at the door. It's getting harder and harder for GOD's people to navigate in such a filthy world.

That is why we die to the law. That is why we sin has no power over us for our accuser , the law, is dead to us!
Also remember that we are no longer under the law but does that mean we can do anything now? Certainly not! Romans 6:14 that is why sanctification is a daily process. Also remember that faith without works is dead.
"This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus." Rev 14:12 . The law is important that it reminds us that we need a saviour, so because we love Him that we keep what He commands.
What i always remember as an example is that. Say you are driving then you see a sign(law commands) that said 20kph only but you went over it, then you were stopped by a traffic police(God). So you ask forgiveness or pardon to the police to let you pass not to the sign, right? So the sign is there to warn us of our sins that we need saving of a saviour. So when you go on your way you dont want to commit sin anymore since you are pardoned and saved and now you would want to keep the commands because you love Him and to continue growing.

What ages are they referring to in Particular?
Obviously the ten commandments cant be used in the age before adam and eve!

Who did Sin originate with? Ez. 28:15 .Gen 3 and Romans 16:20. And if by definition sin is the transgression of the law, then the commandments existed way before given at Sinai. 1 John 3:4 . Do you think God's government could exist without law and order? no government can . Jesus broke the law down into two one that covers the first four Commandments and the second one to cover the last six. The principles of the law have always existed, even in heaven, otherwise Lucifer could not have sinned. Also, we are told that Abraham kept God's law see Genesis26:5. If the law was not given until Mount Sinai how could Abraham have kept God's laws? There's a pretty easy answer , it already existed and he knew about it.

The covenant Ten commandments had a Beginning and an end.
They Began 430 years after Abraham.
They were added.
That doesnt mean their was no laws before.
The laws were not given out to all humanity ever.
They were specific in nature and had time restraints and in the case of the ten A covenant, contract.

So the promise was given 430 years before the Law.

It is well know that Adventist Doctrine is that By Faith Gods grace Saves.

first define the word christian, every religion that uses the name of Jesus claims christianity to be theirs. why dont you redefine it and say the keys to Growth as a Son of God? Their appears to be confusion over what law is in the Bible on this site.
The law Paul refers to is not the moral law.....There is no moral law given in the bible as such though law can be moral.
The law Paul refers to, that we are to be dead to, is the covenant ten commandments.
This law was added to show sin, to increase sin.
This law is a curse to us if you are under or bound to law.
This law is what Christ came and redeem us from.
Not that the law is Bad in of it s self, but because it brings death to those who cant keep it perfectly because of their flesh which we all have.
No one can keep the law perfectly and that is why we are led by the spirit not law today as believers.
