**SPOILER** To your question about Francesca. She wasn't married last season, so the theory is that this is her first season on the marriage mart in the show. Based on the books she should meet her first husband during her first season so on screen we might see her meeting him. In the books though her first courtship and marriage weren't really featured, they just kind of opened with her being in that marriage. So for the show maybe we'll see her getting married this season but not have a huge feature, kind of similar to when Penelope's sister was getting married last season. Fran's book was really about her losing her first husband, grieving and then falling in lover a second time so to me it would make sense if they give her her own season showcasing that

I see that someone already explained the Francesca-situation to you so I'm not getting into that other than to point out that Polin's story takes place about 10 years earlier in the show than it does on the book. In the book Pen is 28 and Colin is 33, in the show they're like 19-early 20s. What's more is that Pen has only been LW and Colin has only been travelling for a couple of years in the show, while in the book they have been doing those things for like a decade. Since Francesca is younger than both of them that of course means that her story is also at a stage several years earlier than it is in Polin's book, so while she is a widow in the book, in the show she hasn't even met the husband she is going to lose yet. On that note, some fun facts about the book timeline: In the book-series Polin's book is book 4, Eloise's is book 5 and Francesca's is book 6. These 3 books actually overlap, as in they take place around the same time. In Francesca's book, for example, we at one point follow Francesca to Violet's birthday party, the same party Pen and Colin meet at at the start of their book. In the same book we also run into Colin on the day of his engagement to Penelope, and we receive a letter with news about Eloise that refers to what's going on in her book. If you ever feel like checking out more of these books, it's actually really fun to see how those 3 books are tied together through the stories playing out at roughly the same time. Also, about book-Colin being a hothead, that's actually kind of a general thing with the leading men in the book-series. I think Julia Quinn found angry male characters a bit more sexy when writing these books than a 2024 audience would.
The little Lady Bridgerton insert is so quick that missed it the first time I watched the trailer as well.. definitely a new love interest there 🤭 I am still clutching at my invisible pearls... I am still doing backflips in my room... I cannot WAIT for the show to come out... this is a show I've GOT to review 🤭 And will be waiting for yours as well 🔥
