Thanks for watching our day 1 of our first MSC cruise. We wanted to try something different. We will have six videos to include days 1 through 4, the food on MSC and finally our overview of the ship and cruise so stay tuned!
Thanks for the video. I know I’m a bit late but here is another one that I think is good. My comments/replies give a few recommendations that you were asking for at the end. Other quick note on your point on the cruise card in the room, save your previous cards and bring them to leave in there if you like A/C to remain on. Also, if you arrive early for embarking, they have been processing first come to get on early. I have been getting there around 10am, and usually board soon after.
I do believe it needs to be MSC. I bring a stash from prior cruises and give them to people I meet that complain that the room is hot. Occasionally you see some on the ground from people disembarking;-) also if you use that, you probably noticed the colored lights outside the door. I just let my room stew know it doesn’t mean I’m in there, and use the DND or Makeup Room buttons to let them know.
I'm glad your debarkation was quick! Ours unfortunately was not. It took us close to two hours! From what I read afterwards, it was customs that wasn't ready for us for some reason. But certainly glad it went well for you
Carnival veteran. Was on Jubilee with you! Been on Celebrity, several RCCL, several NCL & MSC Seaside. LOVED Seaside. U R right. Good mix. More upscale, but budget friendly. Was a nice change from Carnival. Carnival really rubbing me wrong way last few cruises. Once you get the MSC ships down, MSC is a great alternative (without dumping on carnival too bad, for now)
Nothing wrong with sampling other cruiselines right? We definitely are venturing out because we will be on Celebrity Reflection next week! What did you think of Jubilee on our sailing vs MSC?
There were definitely things we liked on Seashore and some things we didn't like. Or maybe it was just different to us. We are aware MSC is Italian based and caters to European cruisers so we try to keep that in mind. We definitely saw that in effect when we saw expresso machines EVERYWHERE!
Oh I'm definitely going to include that my friend! I do have my favorite bar on board! Are you going to sail on MSC Seashore or did you sail on her already?
If you ever went to Half Moon Cay, you will LOVE Ocean Cay. More beaches...not as many excursions but it is beautiful! We liked Ocean Cay and I hope your cruise stays overnight for the Lighthouse Show!🚨🏠
@@rebstroh My go-to bar is the Brooklyn Cafe, 8 Starboard. My strategy was to get $2 bills from the bank to tip them with many cruises ago. They get to know you and eventually no need for drink package if you know what I mean. Also priority service, but i have to say sometimes “I was the last one here” so I’m not delaying others from getting theirs. Very Berry Protein Smoothie is great there, sometimes do that instead of breakfast while getting morning steps in on outdoor 8 deck.
Hi Luke. Yes it was...well it was for Scott lol. He "ordered" it and I drank it lol. Honestly this is the best espresso martini I ever had on all four cruise lines we have sailed!
@@jeffreysadventuresyoutube Or the timing sounds like maybe the 9/8 four night? Those are nice with the overnight in Ocean Cay. I’m booked on that one, but up in the air if I can go. Happy to answer any questions you might have. Hate to link to another video, but I replied to a lot of comments here, in case that is helpful-
We have sailed with Princess mainly and did 3 MSC, we love MSC! We have 2 booked with them next year. Ps, its espresso, not EXPRESSO! there is no x lol. We love MSC , the food and drinks are amazing and the entertainment top notch. We have also sailed with Carnival and never again.
We haven't tried Princess...yet. that is definitely something scott and I talk about though. Drinks were decent however Scott had an issue with bar service in 2 or 3 of the bars. I did love the entertainment, but Scott was not as impressed by it. He didn't hate it but thought it was at or slightly below Carnival. We had some issues with Carnival, but it's been on the smaller ships. Even then, it was mainly other cruisers and kids being disrespectful or rude.
@tricialundgren7287 our last Carnival cruise was the Jubilee, and our next one will be on Mardi Gras next year. We did sail on the Sunshine this past year. We didnt find it dirty, but it definitely showed its age. Ill look out for how the Mardi Gras is due to it being in the fleet longer than the Celebration and Jubilee.
Hey Gloria! We stayed at Marriott Orlando Airport Lakeside. It was about a 8 minute ride or so from the airport and about 40 minutes from the port. Very nice hotel! I would stay at the hotel for vacation when visiting Orlando again!
@@scottfrom.scottandshedswe are going in a few weeks and I have been debating about this hotel. I think we will go for it now. Thanks for the fast reply!
Some constructive criticism…. Turn your transition music volume way the F down. Most people like to watch videos while doing other things like getting ready. I’d have to stop what I’m doing, grab my phone turn down the volume when the music start blaring and then when you start talking I can’t hear you, so I have then turn it up again and then repeat and repeat. So this is something to keep in mind if you are trying to grow your channel.
@@FrankHolstein (or is this an RCL AI Bot). There are pros and cons on all ships/brands. I feel that these videos are a good way for people to decide what is right for them. I’ve found throughout 25 MSC cruises recently in talking to people that maybe on average 85-90% would do MSC again. So yeah, not for everyone, but that is always the case.

@gcpollard3560 good tip! This being our first MSC cruise we weren't sure if any card would do or if it had to be an MSC key card

@gcpollard3560 we will have to bring our old on for our World America then!
I just returned from a cruise on the Seashore out of Port Canaveral, Embarkation and Debarkation were quick and easy!! I took off my own luggage.
I'm glad your debarkation was quick! Ours unfortunately was not. It took us close to two hours! From what I read afterwards, it was customs that wasn't ready for us for some reason. But certainly glad it went well for you

We left it in good condition!
@@scottandsheds only a room for showering and getting changed. Cruises are not meant for sleep.

We are already booked out until dec 2025! No more PTO. We might look into MSC in 2026 though!
