I recently bought this radio and realized that I can only get 150 through 173 and 400 though 479. Am I not doing something right that it won't let me program all the frequencies advertised??
I used to be able to up and down arrow would switch channels programmed together A&B now depending on where I have a or b those only switch I would like to be able to move them together Channel by Channel both input and output by the arrows like before please help I in the middle of the night touched something and remove this capability if you know didn't tell me what I did please share thank you

Yes you can. Using a PC Software. Called CHIRP but if you transmitt and it will be stuck transmiting you need turn the radio off and on to put it back to normal.
Hi there, I work on a bridge part time and would like to know if I can I pick up the marine channel 09 on this radio? I walk around the bridge and can't stay by radio when a captain needs an opening. I need this channel and the regular 2-way talk-abouts out there do not get this channel. Thank you
if you know the frequency I could tell you if it does it, I have a marine band radio in UK and I think the frequencies are the same, ch 09 on mine is between 25 and 28 MHz some charts vary - this Baofeng doesn't go lower then 65MHz on FM - so if its a standard marine band radio like boats and ships would typically use then I would say NO this wont pick up that freq

I just need them for stuff like camping trips and communication in the house while my wife is upstairs and I am down in the basement. Is it legal for me and my family to use them in the home or camping trips?
