I owned Pulse #61 for three years. One thing you should check. With a normal load onboard if you push the Pulse to one side there should be one inch ground clearance on the high outrigger wheel. Otherwise you will wear out outrigger tires pretty quickly. There are adjustments near the floor for this. Also the welds on most Pulses are not great. I broke a weld on the left outrigger the first time I drove it. It looked like a bubble gum weld if you know what I mean.

It helps that in live in Glasgow, where it's grey and overcast 355 days of the year, so sun isn't an issue. Most Scottish ppl are so pale that they would catch fire if the temp ever got over 75F.
The real issue with the overheating isn't getting air to the radiator...it's getting the air OUT after going through the radiator. At speed the 'in' ducting should be enough if you had an extractor for an outlet. Lower the pressure on the outlet and all will be fine.

Yeah, I'm sure it's miserable to drive and ride in, but it makes great video for us to watch. Bro, you and this channel - above everyone else - knows to keep it in your lane on the Dragon. No exceptions, no excuses.
Crazy thought: duplicate that radiator mount on the other side, but add a water tank in the void above the fuel tank (if you can fit one) with a drip valve and line to gravity-feed a swamp cooler mounted on the other side instead of a rad, as well as ducting with either a disconnect or shutoff valve to the cabin. If you think about it, that was basically how older cars had "A/C" before gas compressors/heat exchangers were fitted, so we know it works, and the loss from drag of introducing that structure to the fuselage will be negligible relative to the current drag value with the canopy open. _shrugs_ That way you can chill the air in summer just by adding water (you can even add an electric ducted fan to help it out while stopped), then drain the tank and shut both valves for the winter where an electric heater could be used...I think it was the _Electrek_ EV from the 80's that just wired a standard _ConAir_ hair dryer to function as the defroster and heater if memory serves, maybe try that. The bike looks sick, and those launches with the 'busa engine were a sight. Never seen any car "tripod" going in a straight line from its own torque before. Thanks for keeping us posted with this project!
@@michaelb.42112 Thank you; I indeed have a beard, and I also enjoy taking sad, neglected engines and making them happy and healthy again, even if I never exactly went to school for it, lol. I _had_ been going to school to be an aerospace-engineer prior to the 2008 recession, actually. In fact, we had the _Bede_ jet that the _AutoCycle_ is based around at that school, but I only got to sit in it and never flew it. I had got the grades, requisites, the test scores, got 2 scholarships, _and_ got accepted to my dream school, but still required a student loan thru Chase to fully make it happen. Little did I know that only 3 months into the semester, Chase would fail and rescind my loan, effectively making it worthless overnight and putting me in bad standing with the university, resulting in my expulsion 2 weeks later due to inability to pay. Life's kinda funny tho, you know? All that time and effort getting into that specific school had been in the pursuit of an engineering career with Boeing upon graduation... I suppose that's one roundabout way of avoiding immense disappointment without even greater imposed cost. -_-
Love that you did the little snippet on Milton Hershey School. I am a proud alumni of the school, and another success story of Mr. Hershey's generosity
That Hershey's really sucks big time. My ex's son went there for a while. They seemed to have great benefits for when the kid graduates, but it's run like a reform school. Lots of harsh punishments for the smallest of infractions. At one point, her son had to use the bathroom, let's just say he was having intestinal issues. He was literally 2 minutes late getting back. It was even on the paperwork. He was left cleaning the bathrooms by himself for several days, and my ex wasn't allowed to see him on visitation day. Yes, there is a visitation day for parents. You can't see or talk to your kid anytime you want. The dorm parents in his dorm loved to yell and were very cruel. All of it was noted in papers from the school. She pulled her son out after a few months. They say they are harsh because they normally get troubled kids in the school, and need the punishment. Well, her son was a very good, respectful kid before he ever went in. The place almost gave him PTSD after a few months. I'd never suggest anyone take their kids there, unless its to set them straight because they are troublemakers.
It's astonishing how common those kinds ofshitholes are. I didn't last a year at a "treatment" facility that ended up being just a juvenile prison with significantly less security. Even as therapeutic staff, I was expected to scream at kids with trauma. Astonishing how long it took before that place shut down after I quit. I certainly did what I could to help thanks to my top review on Indeed and a few other places steering people away.

My first thought would be to actually use a radiator instead of a old cooler. Another first thought would just take the radiators that already exist there and on the outside and Longer radiator hose if you have to use metal pipe For the bands
✨Oh wow! I love the lights🎉😃 (26:13). Good work & the trip was great. Those turns 🤯 the views🎉on the tail of the dragon. 30:09 so funny, Joe the driver 😂😂😂✨
I bought an old Range Rover in Lancaster, PA and drove it home to Az. I would have thought it was in an old barn or neighborhood, but it was in a 10 year old housing community that looked more like Lancaster, Ca.
At least you got the radiator part right. Still need to either open up the rear or de-hood the NACA ducts for them to work properly. Not sure what's all in the winglets (if anything), but loading the leading edge with an air intake routed to the engine and surface mounted rads on the trailing edge where you've got more real estate for good mounting orientation and proper airflow volume would be the next evolution for this machine. It will most certainly add reliability and performance.
Not an instant solution, but I'd be inclined to go with a belly mounted heat exchanger instead of a radiator. Use just a very small radiator with a fan to keep it cooled while stationary/idling, and air flow across a large belly mounted heat exchanger while moving forward for main cooling.

At 16:27 That guy at the gas station slowly licking his ice cream then noticing the camera had me dying 🤣
The guy at 16:30 peaking around his car at Sean and the camera 😂😂😂

Great photobomb 😂
There are so many youtubers out there slapping jet engines on things. I wanna see a couple put on this, some altered controls, proper delta wings, and I wanna see it fly.
Hat's don't make you go bald, you go bald first and then you where hats to hide it or at least I do
I literally just got home from the Tail lol, been here about 4 hours now.
Absolute best experience I've had on my bike. It's so much fun.
I believe this video has been narrated from the grave
I personally think the lighting upgrades are ........ FANTASTIC!!!
@16:08 Bro literally doxed Jesse in 4K 😂😂😂. Now I’ve got a buddy named Jesse to call 🎉🎉🎉
glad it took 21 minutes instead of forever. watched a kid do his last wheelie ever on that straight away. beautiful ride man. can't wait for the next video
Just imagine this vehicle working properly, not overheating it would be glorious. As one of the people who never forgot this beastie before it was sold I would very much love to see it actually properly sorted into a bike that could be used without issue. It’s such a original looking thing that I think it deserves it but whatever happens I’m just pleased you got it back and we all get to see it again 👍
If you badged it Harley, shouldn't you have a PRIDE flag on there too. lol Harley = PRIDE lol
That’s crazy my wife made the cut at autozone lol that’s awesome man!! So nice to meet ya too very humble guy!!!!
Very cool!
You never fail to fail, at my amusement! Congrats at getting it to run cooler, and the illuminations cracked me up. I can't wait for the Boss Hoss, my dream since motorcyclist magazine 1989/90ish
I love hearing you about my state, while watching your video... I live in Bucks County!
Once again giving exposure to some small town guys willing to work hard to help someone out 🤙🏻
These videos have got to be an absolute blast to make! I would love to do something like this but I don't have the funds or personality probably. Thanks for the great videos and keep doing what you are doing!

What an awesome car/bike.
One of your best vids ever Sean. You Rock.
Love that you had the LEDs on one side only "or only one side lit up" and stuck to the right lane so it's all people could see.
My first thought would be to actually use a radiator instead of a old cooler.
Another first thought would just take the radiators that already exist there and on the outside and Longer radiator hose if you have to use metal pipe For the bands
That music was perfect lol
We just had a bunch of these at an air show in town! They’re so cool
✨Oh wow! I love the lights🎉😃 (26:13). Good work & the trip was great. Those turns 🤯 the views🎉on the tail of the dragon. 30:09 so funny, Joe the driver 😂😂😂✨
I really enjoyed this rocket cycle saga. Keep up the good work.
I bought an old Range Rover in Lancaster, PA and drove it home to Az. I would have thought it was in an old barn or neighborhood, but it was in a 10 year old housing community that looked more like Lancaster, Ca.
its not farm land in lancater PA
26:00 that's awesome!
That night shot go crazy!
The dump truck video is greatness. Doing your ad while at vid summit. Let's go always getting it
One giant step for mankind. And one giant leap backwards for aviation. Sean!! You may have outdone yourself. Congratulations. LoL
Hey Sean, Wv 81 Corridor Sheetz off Exits 20, 16, 13, 12, 8 the one off of 5 is being rebuilt. Wish I knew you were in my area. Keep cranking out the great content.
There is an enclosed motorcycle first introduced in the 90s that has outrigger wheels that retract and deploy at a given speed. They are called a Monotracer.
So I would suggest scallop vents to keep the cab cool enough. Look at what sailplane designers do to keep the cockpit cool for the pilot.
My grandfather built the scoot-mobile 1947. It was a hybrid 75 mph. Built in Corunna, MI.
Those pulls reminded of a Honda with a b16 in it lol. Cool to see that thing rip
I do believe that this is my favorite video of all times. Perhaps because I have been everywhere that you went, and knew where you were the whole time. Even when you stopped at the Pinnacle for your Chicken sandwich and sweet tea. I've lived in PA. MD. and am now in TN. forever. I even have friends in Inwood WV. (exit 5 WV. 51) where you stopped for fuel. Thanks for the fun and chuckles.
"Nothing to see here..." I love it!!!!!
25:14 That is the best shot from the hole video :D
That looks soo damn good bro!
So awesome! Great times! Thanks for sharing.
Our pleasure!
I seen you riding around Bristol I was shocked it was awesome to see it in person lol
Great video and fun to watch, Idea use two heater cores, one on each side with propper air scoops for flow.
