This is again pretty spot on. Utilizing his full potential, Captain Atom could theoretically give Galactus himself a run for his money but as it stands, Surfer would win pretty handily. Its possible he could even tap into the Quantum field himself or even cut off CA from his powers. The power cosmic is pretty OP and hax that way.

The Silver surfer is obviously much, much faster and is arguably more experienced. (since it is never explicitly stated when he received his powers added to the fact that he seems to age slower means that this is hard to gauge but I believe he has been an active combatant for longer than Atom.) Also, the power cosmic allows him to be. A planet buster with little effort.

Cpt. Atom wins without question. For starters, the Power Cosmic is a bs, ambiguous, fictional power source whereas quantum field theory is actually legitimate science. So while Surfer's abilities boil down to "having superpowers", Atom has control over reality. He can create and destroy matter, can't ever be destroyed, and is essentially the physical embodiment of existence as he is connected to seemingly infinite energy. In short, Surfer would have to break the fundamental laws of reality (i.e. destroy energy) and in the process destroy reality in and of itself (i.e. the quantum fields that make up reality) in order to win this fight. Atom doesn't even need to fight back (though a mere thought could end the fight) because he is inherently immortal, intangible, and omnipotent.

What people dont get is the power cosmic is beyond the quantum forces. Its is literally space magic. And Surfer is Galactus' most powerful herald ever. He gave 1/4 of his power to him which is crazy. He even said he would never do that again. The power cosmic doesn't adhere to standard physics. SS wins. Period. DC is way too inconsistent with their powers and heroes. If Superman can take out CA, then SS will most definitely take out CA.

Not even. In this fight Surfer will have an edge at first due to CA mental state. But the only things to my knowledge that has pierced CA's skin is mythical weapons. Magic vs Power Cosmic are different. And if Surfer could break through his skin he can access all of his Quantum Energy and become even maybe a multiversal threat. He could even maybe take away Surfer's power cosmic if he got pushed to the limit. He has been shown to give normal people extraordinary powers. At his peak he has also regenerated from literally nothing. So even if Surfer killed him he would just come back and know to unleash his full power.
He can't come back like that his suit is what gives him life if it breaks he will explode and while it may kill surfer captain atom can't come back until his suit is repaired and filled with radiation.

Ur Momma The only difference between Atom and Monarch is the suit, which isnt all that much. Without the suit he still nuked a universe, beat Nekron and much more. I'd say the suit only adds a slight (well, slight compared to what he becomes) Superman level boost. Like when Hawk became the first Monarch he wasnt that strong.

I think the Justice League cartoon where Superan defeats, and threshold honeymoon carries, Captain Atom was garbage. Captain Atom would win here, except for as you stated, he doesn't use it all. But the dude becomes Monarch. Monarch pimp slaps the Surfer like a bully taking a 4 year old girls cookies. It just would not be fair.
Captain Atom would win, although it could go either way as Cap / Surfer are very similar - remember Cap's a conduit to the infinite quantum field so his powers cant be drained, conversely he can draw from this infinite supply. Surfer was granted only a finite sliver of the power cosmic from Galactus. Cap also is a trained military officer and fought in theatres of war, giving him a tactical advantage. He led all of Earth's superhero's during the "Invasion" storyline. He could just trap the Surfer in the quantum field for a quick win, or just separate the Surfers board from him - only Cap's imagination and his skin being slightly less invulnerable than the Surfers limits Cap, as the Surfer is more attuned to what his powers can and can't do. Cap still thinks like a human at times, seeing himself as a superhero mostly although he's starting to understand just exactly what he has become. Also, remember that as the Swamp thing is an earth elemental, Firestorm is a Fire Elemental, Cap is an cosmic elemental, representing the quantum field, which like the force, binds all things and is an infinite, multiversal constant.
I agree that the self imposed limits is the key here. However, if saving of life was the critical point of defeating the other, then Captain Atom would win as then he would have reason to not hold back. But, that wouldn't occur with the Silver Surfer, so it would be moot. Would be interesting if the two teamed up though, as they would be a very formittable team.

He will punch him with types he is weak too. He can also us it to manipulate some things at a subatomic level. That is why he has the potential to be a reality warper. That is why I said Silver would win even with him given it his all. Atom holds some of his abilities in. Silver Surfer has the potential to warp reality but also chooses not to. Interesting. My initial thought is Silver Surfer, after a tough fight. But, after thinking about it, Captain Atom really could potentially win this. But, probably Silver Surfer. Why? Because of Captain Atom's energy absorption. Atom can really absorb infinite amounts of energy, but if he absorbs too much, he'll be catapulted forward in time. So the fight would go back and forth, with the two evenly matched, until Captain Atom absorbs too much energy and is shot forward in time. Silver Surfer wins by battlefield removal. Otherwise, this fight goes on forever.
Surfer also has the ability to absorb energy, LARGE amounts of energy so yeah your argument doesn't make sense. Almost all of their powers are similar, so they get cancelled out. Surfer being fast, wins this

What people dont get is the power cosmic is beyond the quantum forces. Its is literally space magic. And Surfer is Galactus' most powerful herald ever. He gave 1/4 of his power to him which is crazy. He even said he would never do that again. The power cosmic doesn't adhere to standard physics. SS wins. Period. DC is way too inconsistent with their powers and heroes. If Superman can take out CA, then SS will most definitely take out CA.

Captain Atom would win, although it could go either way as Cap / Surfer are very similar - remember Cap's a conduit to the infinite quantum field so his powers cant be drained, conversely he can draw from this infinite supply. Surfer was granted only a finite sliver of the power cosmic from Galactus.
Cap also is a trained military officer and fought in theatres of war, giving him a tactical advantage. He led all of Earth's superhero's during the "Invasion" storyline.
He could just trap the Surfer in the quantum field for a quick win, or just separate the Surfers board from him - only Cap's imagination and his skin being slightly less invulnerable than the Surfers limits Cap, as the Surfer is more attuned to what his powers can and can't do. Cap still thinks like a human at times, seeing himself as a superhero mostly although he's starting to understand just exactly what he has become.
Also, remember that as the Swamp thing is an earth elemental, Firestorm is a Fire Elemental, Cap is an cosmic elemental, representing the quantum field, which like the force, binds all things and is an infinite, multiversal constant.

However, if saving of life was the critical point of defeating the other, then Captain Atom would win as then he would have reason to not hold back. Vlad the Impaler in DC it is a vast amount of radioactive energy. Captain Atom can use it to create different types of radiation. It is why he can hold his own with Superman for a little. He will punch him with types he is weak too. He can also us it to manipulate some things at a subatomic level. That is why he has the potential to be a reality warper. That is why I said Silver would win even with him given it his all.

Interesting. My initial thought is Silver Surfer, after a tough fight. But, after thinking about it, Captain Atom really could potentially win this. But, probably Silver Surfer. Why? Because of Captain Atom's energy absorption. Atom can really absorb infinite amounts of energy, but if he absorbs too much, he'll be catapulted forward in time. So the fight would go back and forth, with the two evenly matched, until Captain Atom absorbs too much energy and is shot forward in time. Silver Surfer wins by battlefield removal. Otherwise, this fight goes on forever.
