Thanks, Sir One more advantage of 'join' is you can use columns from the department table too in the select clause. But in a subquery or correlated subquery we can only use columns from the employee table in the select clause. Please correct me if I am wrong.
I watched many of your videos ,but i would like to thank you million times specially for the videos on subquaries and concurrency control ( variant of 2PL, Timestamp ordering protocol) , Thanks

Thank you bct engineering notes for suggesting me this channel. This was really helpful i understood the concept clearly and have successful created a project on relational database. Thank you Gate Smashers.
Hi Varun, i found an issue if you can clarify in Correlated Subquery i.e. select * from emp where exists (select id from dept where emp.e_id = dept.e_id); in this Inner query from where we are counting 'id' from dept. table? From my side the query should be select * from emp where exists (select e_id from dept where emp.e_id = dept.e_id); Hope i could make sense.
I guess time taken is same in all the queries because it Joins as well when we do cross product, number of rows becomes m*n and then we do 1 comparison for each row, therefore total number of comparisons remain m*n.
Thank you so much sir... DDA me or videos upload kijiye na please.. you are the best I am great fan of you the way you teach... I promise I will share all your videos.. we want more from you... You are just adorable n great teacher
sir what if we have duplicate eid s in department table i.e. what if one employee is working in two depts, then correlated query will return duplicate values. great video overall
