Great list, I love the riot gun too, it’s just such a satisfying crowd clearer. Love the red dot sight on a pistol to the point where I think it’s a placebo that makes me play better lol. Got very used to a lot of these in the mercenaries mode to the point where I can find great uses in all of them. Bolt thrower is trash though 😂 niche use
I really want to unlock cat ears so I can play the whole game with riot gun unlimited ammo lol.
The laser is so handy. It gives you better chance of critical hit and so good if ammo is low
Agreed on bolt thrower!!
@@jahanzebhayat Cat ears are very fun to play around with. Was very challenging for me at some points (specifically the chapter 5 cabin fight was tough) but immensely satisfying. Pro S+ is no joke even with the chicago sweeper!
@@-bluejay211 Pro S+ is so hard! Especially as the Chicago sweeper doesn’t really come into play untill ch7 so you need to play first third of game normally.
the SG-09 with the exclusive and the laser has a ~35% chance to crit, which does triple damage, not just on headshots, so it even works against bosses and on body shots.
Isn’t it a 20% chance? It’s a great weapon for the handgun only run. Especially with laser
Nice video! I will always say that the punisher is underrated though… it’s definitely not the best for popping heads but the crowd control options can allow for some slightly more varied gameplay imo. There’s plenty of spaces in the game where enemies funnel through a tight space one in front of the other, plus it gets a huge mag and still works great for kneecapping
Thanks
Maybe I was a little harsh on it. When enemies are in tight spaces or in front of each other. I like to use the shotgun to blow them away lol
Id argue the cqbr is a solid alternative for a magum if you can build up extra rifle ammo since you can just mag dump on a weakspot. Also prefer the striker over the other shotguns because of the anmo and fire rate, being weaker doesnt really matter for pistols and shotguns since youll be using mostly rifles or magnums if not a rocket launcher on the bosses and tough enemies, so pistols and shotguns only really need to be strong enough to one-shot basic ganados or reliably set up a physical attack, in that regard more ammo means more kills, extra firepower beyond that is a bonus not essential
@@codystevenson9648 I use shotguns on bosses so prefer the riot gun but it is my favourite gun in the game Tbf.
I need to use and test the CQBR more for sure. I think it has a strong place in anyone’s loadout.
I also want to do a playthrough and test out the SMGs more.
I barely use magnums tbh
Cool video. I will keep this in mind for when I get round to playing the game. I will probably pick it up soon now that the gold edition is out.
I’m currently playing RE Village. Finished my first play through on normal difficulty the other night. It was a blind play through and I really enjoyed it. Have started a second play through on easy to work on more of the trophies and in game challenges. Hopefully I can make enough lei by the end of the second run to buy and upgrade the stake magnum.
I’m gonna leave the knife run / speedrun until 3rd play through. I note a lot of the guides say to combine the speed run with the knife only but I keep thinking that it would surely take a long time to kill bosses with the knife. Did you find the karambit knife effective against the bosses? What sort of time did you manage the speed run in?
the game is a classic, i absolutely love it and a year later cannot stop playing it, i reckon RE4 has stopped me from getting at least 4 platinums lol!
Village is another one i enjoyed. so i think i did the knife only speedrun in 2 hours 20 mins. you can combine both easily, the knife is good against the bosses, you just get close to them and hold down the attack button. definitely make sure you have strong weapons for the VOS difficulty, it is no joke. you need the stake magnum and keep a sniper as well for long range stealth kills.
Great List bro
welp, time to play the remake again
CQBR is objetively better than stingray. Does more damage, have higher rate of fire and better capacity. When not fighting bosses just don't hold the button.
Eh, if you don't have the cat ears, that gun bleeds ammo. Even if you don't hold, Leon will end up using 2 or 3 bullets sometimes. With cat ears on, it's the best weapon barring the RL. It shreds everything.
Even just tapping it you use 2 sometimes 3 bullets though
@@jahanzebhayat I never got this problem, maybe because I use mouse.
@@paulohenriquedossantos7633 yeah that could be for it! On controller it’s harder to control trigger
Let's check out! 🧟♂️💀🗿
infinite ammo hand cannon has gotta be s tier
The aim is too inconsistent for s tier imo. Especially for head shots
@@jahanzebhayat don’t need to headshot when it one hit kills most enemies. Especially with infinite ammo
the full auto rifle can be good if you use it only for bosses
it has probably the best dps in the game
but upgrading that instead of the stingray makes the regenerator parts much more difficult (im talking about hard mode)
also in vr you can aim every weapons normaly so you can be really precise whit the broken butterly as long as you're good at aiming
and even use it as a long range weapon, so there is no point to take the killer 7 in vr instead of the broken butterfly
But then you have to spend money to upgrade it to damage the bosses right. It’s not a bad idea. I might try a run where I keep the CBQR as my boss weapon
