- Motorhome Ferry to Spain 10 TIPS HERE ....
1. Join Club Voyage which gives you 30% discount, the overall cost will be cheaper. We paid £980 plus £230 to join the club. (Peak season)
2. Use the Luxury Dinning area, the food is great (go for the Buffet Option)
3. Use the Luxury Breakfast area, with club membership it is less than £5 per person
4. When you board go on deck for a drink, don't wait for you room downstairs and miss the views departing.
5. Think about the money and time your are saving not driving to Spain (around £600 for fuel and tolls)
6. Handbrake on hard, In gear, alarm off. You don't want a flat battery and you don't want to be worrying about your vehicle. Theres no access to the car deck during the crossing.
7. Look out for Whales and Dolphins, we always see them :)
8. Don't worry about on board drink costs, they are reasonable (around £3.50 a pint)
9. Look out for sunset - its amazing over the sea
10. Enjoy the crossing, this is a fabulous way to start your Holiday

Brittany Ferries are simply the best way to get across the channel. The food, accommodation and service are outstanding. Commodore Cabins are better than a lot of hotel rooms.

I prefer the Cap Finesterre - it handles rough water better. The cabins don't vibrate - the staff are nicer and it is much better for dog owners. I love the crossings on either ship though but I have never seen a Whale in 15 trips.
We could had done with the Cap Finesterre in that case on our return trip home, we sailed in a really bad sea conditions, it was aweful! I'm getting emails from Brittany Ferries at the moment saying they are putting a new ferry called Galicia on from December. Thanks for commenting...Cheers Andy&Michelle

JonAng Films thanks for watching, it was about 7:00am but the ship was only half full, it’ll be different on our return journey in 3 weeks after the schools have broken up, starting the edit on the next tonight so it’ll be a couple days, i have high expectations, the scenery was amazing 😉
Still yet to be convinced with a ferry crossing, might have to wait till our dogs depart us lol

They do have an area at the back of the boat that’s penned in for owners and there dogs 🐶.. it’s not very large...☹️

The sun setting over the sea looked gorgeous! The ship looked very empty in your tour... was it just the time of day or did it generally feel quiet a lot?

Hi, there's a lot of detail in the video description if you click on "Show More" but it was around £1200 for a July return crossing on the Pont Avon. Quite expensive but not so bad when considering the saving on the fuel, tolls and the driving. Our trip back was rough so be aware the Bay of Biscay can give you a bad crossing if you are unlucky! We'll definitely do it again though. There are other ships which take longer and are cheaper but are not as nice onboard. The only other consideration is Bilbao or Santander as a destination port. Cheers
