I'm not from the Searcy area, and I didn't go to Harding. But I'm a lifetime Arky, and I'm proud of what the Bison accomplished this year. The state needed a feel-good story in football, since the Razorbacks were so terrible this year, and this was definitely it!
My son's in law, my daughter graduated from Harding. My oldest daughter also attended there. It is a wonderful Christian school located in a pretty part of Arkansas. So I am a proud Harding fan.
My type of team! I've been looking for a team like this for a long time. West Virginia featuring Pat White was like this. That combination of offensive line play, running and great defense a la Nebraska, De LaSalle and The Steelers in the 70s. Breathtaking.
Arkansas is my home state, and I have family in Searcy. It is great to hear that Harding won the national championship. One small critque on the narration. Harding did beat Ouachita Baptist, but the pronuciation is (Washita)
Sul Ross Just Landed Super Star ILB Caleb Jones from LD.Bell High School , This is the Talk of Town because TCU , Tarleton State , SFA was recruiting Mr. Jones . This Kid is the D2 Recruit of the year
I don't know who wins in 2024, but I watched Harding play several games this season they and are still a legitimate threat to repeat. I was at the Central Missouri and Grand Valley State games, and even with a dominate team like Harding had this year, you just have to have some things go your way. Against UCM, they had to have a goal line stand in the first half, then march the ball down and score. Then up two touchdowns in with about 5 minutes to go Harding nearly let them come back to tie it, but a just short of miraculous blocked PAT secured the win. The Grand Valley State game was an absolute grind for 60 minutes, low score, offensive struggle, defensive battle it was gnarly. Bisons held them without a touchdown for the first time in 20 years. One of the trademarks of this Bisons team was to play good, sound, clean games, and their lack of penalties really made the difference in that one. With a late fourth quarter touchdown they secured the win. Super Region 3 is a beast. I think one of the three teams in this comment will be the 2024 champs.
I was at the Grand Valley game too and it WAS a grind, in fact when Harding scored I thought GV would come back with a field goal at the end lol. Great game til the end. I graduated from Harding, a long time ago! '83 Go Bisons!
This video is cool because I live in Arkansas and have friends who go to Harding. I also attend Southern Arkansas and went to the high school that owns the field they played Southern Arkansas on.
Ferris State, a team whose games I broadcast and a program I have followed since the late 80s has risen to D-IIs "top shelf" also. Losing to Grand Valley in the postseason meant, circumstantially there was no third postseason contest against the Bison this season. Harding came to Big Rapids twice, won once ('17) and could have won the next year, if not for a dropped HU pass. The Bulldogs are apparently moving from NCAA Super Region Three, so it'd be a semifinal or title game for these fine programs to meet again. (I told a Grand Valley cheerleader's father the Lakers had better score when chances came, because Harding salts the game away, thanks for making me appear knowledgeable)
I’m gonna try to go to a few Harding games this next year. Seeing highlights of how they run that offense is just electric. I’ve gotta see it in person!
Thanks for this video, it was quite the historic season for the Bisons! Respectfully, you might want to watch some local content for these programs to learn the pronunciations of people and places since you butchered most of the prominent names in this video. Keep up the good work otherwise!
About 5 mispronounced words in this video. Someone is reading off a script without knowing anything about Harding or Arkansas. It is Ouachita (pronounced phonetically as Washataw) Baptist University. Former Harding coach Ronnie Huckeba is pronounced Huck-u-bee. And too many more to name pronunciation errors.
Arkansas is dominated by footballers that focus only on the university of Arkansas in Fayetteville. The sports media reports almost 90% only Razorbacks. There are some other good college programs in this state, with Harding being one. Others are Arkansas State University in Jonesboro who are also D-1 in the Sun Belt Conference, and University of Central Arkansas in Conway a D-1FCS team. Congatulations to Harding Bison. By the way narrater, it is (Wash-itaw) Ouachita, not O-U-cheetah University.

the triple option will never die!
Scary part is they return the majority of starters on both sides of the ball.
They lose to nay d1 program

I love these videos about the smaller schools
Yes more of these.. the talent gap Is getting smaller and smaller thanks to enhanced strength and conditioning/coaching across the US.

Played at Harding 73-76 and my father-in-law was Carl Allison the first coach in 59 !!
So proud of my alma mater 🖤💛

As a Harding graduate, I was very happy to hear about this win for them. :)
Always went to Harding for ball camps. Great to see for the Bison faithful.
6000 yards rushing!!! Good lawd!

Harding gave you a look into the past of what the old school ground pound game was like.
Harding!!!🎉

I’m from North Texas but I know someone who plays for Harding well, so I followed them all year and seeing them win was super exciting.
Harding is just up the road from me! Go Bisons!
Wing t hit different

Another cool stat from the National Championship game is that Braden Jay and Hardings Left Guard also scored a combined 3 rushing touchdowns!
Can't forget about the NAIA CHAMPS KEISER
I'm convinced if your mascot is a Bison you ground and pound. ( See NDSU)
Friendly FYI - Ouachita is pronounced - wash-a-tah :)
An NAIA video next would be super cool!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Id like to know what year they started running the flexbone offense.
2010-11. I was a true freshman the first year we ran it.
As a Harding student, the forward pass is a sin
It's not pronounced Simons it's Simmons.
They got beat by Henderson State 2022-2023 season great game #59 shut them down when they tried to run the ball towards him... major mistake
Harding
Ok, i know these names are strange sometimes but its quachita pronounced WASH IT AH. Its an native american tribe
It's not Ohhh-cheeta Baptist. It's Wuasheetaw Baptist. Hence, Ouachita Baptist.
I can tell you now 2024 will be Harding, Central Missouri or Grand Valley St. imo.
Go Valdosta State!

I Played in the GAC 😂for a year
@buckyoung4578 said it best, could you please pronounce the names correctly - -Start with the current Head Coach Paul "SIMMONS" - #SMH
Dude, learn how to pronounce names before posting a final video....
Why don't you make a video and pronounce all the names right.
