Great idea. I’m thinking I can use the pump from my external filter and just have discharge outside the pond, instead of into the filter canister? I do have to consider pea gravel and small rocks though😣
Nice idea. I am using my pump with a bog filter to remove sludge. It takes care of the water quality too. Wouldn't algae clog up your pump without mesh bag? Isnt your water getting very hot with the pond above ground?
Thanks! and that's cool that you are doing something similar. I took the sponge out of the pump so the debris has a larger area to pass through, but yeah every so often it would probably be a good idea for me to open up the pump and take out anything that might be stuck in there. As for the pond temperature, in the summer I've noticed that the water may get up to around 72º F, so yeah quite a bit warmer than what I would like
Great thinking, if you would punt a bag that lets pas almost no microns you could just put it at the end of the hose and let it in the pond, would make it easier. And the spikes are due to the stiring up of the muc on the bottom, I think you are better of to do it in summer when you have plants that can handle the spikes a bit.
Im really sorry for being late bro it seems that fish dinner made me forget about fish Friday ha ha ha but anyway thanks for the shout out bro I appreciate it 👍. And God bless you and your family always

I think I see what you are saying, like have the tubing just go into the pond instead of removing water?
@@TobiasHolenstein yes thats it, the micron cloth bag will ceep the debree and muc inside and the water will flow true it.
@@vertigoone-one-722 Ok I see. Maybe I'll try that out

You need to upgrade to a better filter systems
As you say "I'm going to have to do this a lot". No joke! Pretty lame setup in my opinion
