Yea, what a fun, happy. reaction...loved it!!.......this was the beginning of my DEAR journey with Dimash..
His stage presence is out of this world!! You cannot take your eyes off of him.
I began watching Dimash from The Singer 2017. As the others have said, it was great to listen to how he progressed from his first appearance on that show to where he is today. There is also a series of short videos called "The Ultimate Dimash Guide." It even begins with Dimash and his parents when he was two years old. His grandparents started taking him to piano lessons when he was three. They learned that he had perfect pitch at that young age. He won his first piano competition when he was four. I watch the whole Singer 2017 performance including the other singers. They were so kind, caring, and concerned for Dimash. They took him under their wings and made him so welcome. He became ill and lost his voice the day before he was to sing "Daybreak." They had to take him to the hospital for throat injections but they did little good. One of the other singers bought an expensive medication to help soothe his throat. He still performed but you could see the pain in his face just before he began to sing...and sing he did. He was the first to sing in the first episode (SOS), and you could hear him improve with each performance. He only spoke Kazakh and a little Russian. His first four songs were in French (SOS), Russian Opera 2, English (The Show Must Go On), and Mandarin (Autumn Strong). By the way, I cheated and paused the video at the beginning so I could see your eyes, and you are so handsome. I understand your reasoning for the shades & pay no attention to what anyone thinks. They look great on you, kind of like your signature look. Thanks again for sharing Dimash with us. You make it seem like the first time for us all over again.

I absolutely love your reaction. I so agree with everything. I can’t stop smiling no matter how many times I hear the same song. I love too that you are really taken by his stage presence, his cheeky playfulness because he knew he was going to blow Vitas out of the water. You would not believe how many reaction people do not even comment on his stage presence I knew nothing about singing techniques when I starting listening to Dimash but I knew instantly he was awesomely specially so I have been listening to as many vocal coach reactions as possible so I could learn what he does that makes him so special. So many don’t actually tell me anything but I love the ones who do. Of the very many I have listened to over the last couple of months I have only subscribed to two and now you are my third (and only male). I love everything about your reaction, wanting to go from the beginning and do the journey properly. If I ever come down from my Dimash “high” enough to bring myself to listen to other vocalists, I will try some of the others you speak highly of and listen to your comments on them. If you're curious to experiment, the precursor to Dimash is Yma Sumac, "The Inca Princess". Her vocal range had not been surpassed until Dimash hit the scene!! Her mambo version of Queen of the Night is mind-blowing!!!

A really moving performance from 2017 is his performance of Adai+Adidau from the Bastau concert. For Dimash, his dream is to share his Kazakh 🇰🇿 heritage with the world. He loves his country and people at a deep level. Performing these songs on a massive scale in his home country obviously made him soo emotional, its a wonderful, wonderful moment to witness. Plus, seeing hundreds of dombra (traditional Kazakh instrument) players doing their thing together is a spine-tingling experience. Having said that, watching Dimash is never short of spine-tingling moments 😂😂😂!

His father is the guy that put his fist in the air, toward the end. His father is a singer and his mother is an opera singer. Dimash sings in 12 languages, he is a songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. Dimash also dances and raps. He has been training his voice since the age 5 and playing piano at a young age. He is trained in classical and contemporary music. He has a degree in Contempary and classical music. In June of 2020 he earned a Masters degree in Composition. He has a range of 6 octaves. Dimash plays 6 instruments. He sings classical, operative, pop, and world music. Dimash is from Kazakhstan, and he speaks Kazakh and Russian. He rose to fame in 2017 on the Chinese talent show "The Singer", as a wildcard. He finished second in the competition 😳. Dimash calls his fans "DEARS". Dimash is well-known for his charisma, talent, generosity, classiness, and Humanitarian and charitable character. I believe the next song should be "Show must go on", by Queen. This song is by VItas a very famous Russian singer !! After he sang it in the contest "I am a singer" in China, many people began to compare it with the author's version giving more preferences to Dimash so Dimash decided not to place it in his repertoire because he doesn't like controversy and he admires Vitas. You haven’t seen anything jet!!! This is about 1/3 or so what he can do!
It's so fun for us "Dears" (that’s what Dimash calls his fans because he loves us as a dear family) to see how people react to him.
That wasent his parents that was contestents and there music helpers they have. It's from a Chinese contest called " I am a singer" also called " The singer " and " Singer".
Some info about Dimash. He is from Kazakhstan and has been music schooled sense 5 years old and told the teacher that the piano was out of tune! He sings about 6-7 octaves or so! No one knows he is still learning. He sings higher than the piano can go! He also writs and compose own songs, plays bunch of instruments including Dombra there own Kazakh instrument that has a sound you can’t believe! He also sings in about 12 languages and speaks 3 so far. He is born in 1994.
Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. He graduated with a degree in opera from the music school at the University of Aktobe (2014), a degree in pop/jazz from the National Arts University in Nur Sultan (2018), just completed his Master's degree in composition (June 2020) and approved to start his PhD.
He have done some contests in his life but the one I think got the worlds intension is "The Singer" from China in 2017. The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500.
Dimash Kudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside).
They also got him the nickname "Imported little brother" the day after the show. They also had to get bodyguard for Dimash do to the famous over night both in China and also the world. Dimash wasn’t really prepared for that. He had come to China at 22 years young man by him self and didn’t know the language. They hade contracted him for 2 shows because they didn’t think he cold go father than that. He didn’t think they would like him. So he was nervous this performers that he had also to start the show with. But they hade to change that fast becouse of his fame over night.
Dimash got many new friends from this show and he said at some point he learned a lot from it to.

The best moment in this show was just after Dimash started thanking everyone and saw his father there. He didn’t know he was there. Just after they got out of that room Dimash turns to his father and asks if he did good! When Dimash was gonna go in to the other contestants he again turned to his father and asked him if he done good! That’s the kind of man he is humble, loving and respectful.

Gloria Wu's channel has the back-story about the song that is so sad and from a life story about a boy losing his parents in an awful way. Also you get to hear how Dimash sounds like then loosing his voice the day of the show!!! When he went on he didn’t know if he could sing. Looking close at the other contestants they where so worried about him. He lost his voice again after. Li Jian another contestant bought him a very very expensive Chinese medication for him so he could get better soon!

Episode 10 : 'Unforgettable Day' In Kazakh and I think some translation in Chinese to. If I remember correct he wrote the music to this one when he was 17 or 19 years old and lyrics by Oral Baisengir, who was a poet/lyricist father of a friend of Dimash. Also in this show another contestant "Terry Lin" that was about 51 years young here he considered Dimash a dear friend at this point. But Dimash started telling them al he was his father around episode 9 I think!! That is a big respect and love from his part of the world to call him! Terry was gladly accepting it. They are still that close and also invites each other to there concerts and sometimes singing this song in duet to. They sang it in Jackie Chang movie festival in 2019 and Jackie was choked in how good they were. Terry was known as an alien before Dimash and they have similar vocals to.

He didn’t win the completion they say its because he wasn’t Chinese. But I don’t know if that’s right or not! They change the rules next year. But he got the most out of it and was most known after this. Got lots of awards and other things to. So he won the audience and the Chinese people.

Very good your reaction to Dimash ... the problem with Dimash is that each song is a journey into the unknown. In each performance there is something spectacular that you had not heard before ... even a dancer is the blessed boy ... He is quite a show and all live ... Thank God there is no one else like him ... otherwise they wouldn't have invented autotune ... this guy doesn't miss a grade ... unless he gets sick.

Yes, his stage presence is always so strong..He uses his face hands and whole body as well as voice, to tell the story.He shows a different playful side here,I loved his swagger too! I checked out the lyrics and they almost don't fit the way the song is sung, as the song is quite depressing.But I'm glad Dimash sang it like that.It's a good idea to go through all the Singer competition performances first.I love to watch the audience and backstage competitors reactions too. Everything you said about Dimash could be said about Igor Kurtoy.go back to the end of sinful passion when the audi3nce was clapping and you said they didn’t show enough reaction to the performance, but in the front row was a man that stood up for a standing ovation. This was important because he was igor. Sometime near that occurrence Igor came out of retirement to mentor, collaborate, compose, producer David maybe even do the performance arts that are sen from sinful passion forward. He is also dimashs pianist.just as you see greatness in Dimash so is Igor. Igor wrote olympics for dimash for this occasion for the Olympic sports men and women. Igor came and offered his services to Dimash. He offered Dimash the choice of 10 of his songs to sing. This was a big deal financially because of copyright laws and monitory cost of using someone else’s songs. So far Dimash has used at least five and Igor has also written at least two of the songs Igor wrote for him: olympics and a few weeks ago I Miss You. Everywhere they perform there is performance arts so it’s either igors doings or their collab as Dimash directed one of his documentary music videos. They’re a team that genius stuff happens when they’re together. Igor is worth something like 24 billion dollars.

There’s a very nice vocal coach CECI DOVER. She did an amazing work analysing Dimash’s progress over the years starting with 2012 to 2020. That’s really awesome to see how he progressed in those years. Her analyses is so gentle, so loving, so tactful that I admire her for doing that. I strongly recommend this video for those who believe that it’s “easy” for Dimash to be so perfect. Unfortunately the video is in Spanish which I do not speak, but nevertheless you still get to understand what she is saying. I was really impressed. Love you all.

I suggest you to check Dimash's old video that won AMA in 2017 (or 2018?): Ocean over the Time (see the official video). He rarely sings that song again - but to me, the song is sooo awesome and calming.
No those are other contestants. They said, it wS very stressful to follow Dimash. Dimas was winning the contest, then quit because there were 2 children that came into the competition, he said, in his country the build up children and he would not compete against children. Aside from a master at his craft, he is an extraordinary human being. ❤
