One thing I want to say after weeks of testing. Since this is a 3rd party EQ you will get 3rd party problems. You cannot embed the EQ into the speaker, distortion,Risk of breaking your speaker if you turn off DVC, modulation to further specify the vocals will go down every time bass is produced and depending on what type of speaker you use it determines the severity of modulation. I also a high pitch ringing noise will appear if you tune JBL speakers in the highs .S if o you don't fell like dealing with this the JBL Boombox 2 is your best bet as far as sound quality. Here's part 1 if you haven't seen it th-cam.com/video/KUtyBAYgtag/w-d-xo.html
I was waiting for someone to finally emphasize the EQ for these speaker reviews! and finally we have u man! a Great Video! I knew it, out of the box JBL is great because they adjusted the EQs already to sound great and will mess up the quality if u touch the eq, and for Sony out of the box it is straight out flat, but EQ will definitely enhance the Quality! This Video is 🔥 🤘🏼
Appreciate bro💯 Both Speakers has gotten updates so the Boombox 2 has its own EQ in the JBL App, And the Sony gotten a pretty big volume upgrade so I don't even use poweramp any more as I realized overtime JBL'S really don't act well. I would hear a random sound come from them. The Sony I heard still can benefit from Dolby Atmos EQ. I plan on putting them up against each other again in the future.
@@TheAscendedTechNinja that would be nice man, Sony's Dolby Atmos EQ on Xperia plus the Sony Music Center App EQ. My setup for my XG300 is Bass 2 Mid 8 Treb 5 and almost the same setting on the EQ of my Xperia's. I would love to hear the difference against the JBL's own EQ too. @@TheAscendedTechNinja The high price of jbl is still exaggerated and honestly only because of indoors with Maximum volume it's still a shame because XG 500 Is stronger everywhere else muhaha
The Boombox 2 sounds way more open and clear whilst producing a more convincing bass line that goes way deeper. The JBL wins hands down. The Sony just sounds boxy
Can I connect a connect+ and partyboost speakers together. Let’s say, the charge 5 and charge 4. Or extreme 2 and flip 5. Also if I can connect 2 of them, can I possibly connect all 4 of them I just listed all together. If you reply to this comment it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I always reply to good comments 😁 But sadly no you cannot pair JBL partyboost to JBL connect Plus speakers together while playing in sync with or without Samsung Dual audio. If you have A Samsung phone that supports Dual Audio you can pair a single connect plus speaker to a JBL partyboost speaker😄 Here's a link to a video explaining it in more detail th-cam.com/video/z3cHJoPx2dQ/w-d-xo.html
@@TheAscendedTechNinja yeah that is the only thing about jbl that I dislike because of the new advancing ways of Bluetooth. I wish they all just had the same or could do the same and connect together. It really limits the things you can do with them. Still going to buy more tho lol. I hope in the future they make the go or clip compatible with partyboost or connect plus. That would be nice with the waterproof charge 5 so highs and lows. Your the best reviewer 👍
Thanks bro💯 and I also wanted to mention in my testing JBL Partyboost does work a lot better I'm able to get better range and a smoother connection but it does suck at least they kept it the same for the next generation Flip 6 Charge 6 Pulse 5 Xtreme 4 and the Boombox 3. But the Boombox 3 and Pulse 5 are coming out in the summer and I plan to review them. I'm uploading the soundcore motion boom full review comparing it to the JBL Xtreme 3 and 2 soon if I don't run into any other issues 😅
How much of an impact on battery life does the poweramp eq settings have on the XG500? Since it makes the XG500 louder than the Boombox 2 it surely must be draining more power to do it.
@@TheAscendedTechNinja oh thanks for replying fast. Does that mean you can make the speaker louder through the sony music center equalizer? If so would you mind sharing your settings?
Sony better as the jbl at outdoors because more bass at total of low frequencies+loudness with poweramP for 60% volume i think sony indoor for true bassheads and 100% JBL for bit more sharb highs and little more deep bass
I plan on making a comparison between the 3 because they have received updates to make em sound a bit better. But what I told you earlier about the Boombox 3 put that know in this video about the XG-500 and Boombox 2. th-cam.com/video/KUtyBAYgtag/w-d-xo.html
Is it me or the JBL sound way more clearer then the Sony? The Sony was alright it’s just sound like it was more focused on the beat instead of the voice. But the JBL had both the voice sound clear and the beat was blending in with the song unlike the Sony was
You are wrong because of your dirty ears.Sony has more clear and natural sound.Jbl has dirty and aggressive upper frequencies, vocals are weak and lack body. Bass is prone to distortion. Sony has a more balanced and natural sound signature
Why boombox 2 rip? I don't think it lost at all, they are closely matched tbh, but the boombox 2 still seems to have deeper bass, the drivers just move more.
@@evaristocorripio5434 ya always come with the deeper bass but the SRS-XG5000 can do it just as well for small children it's great when the passive membranes dance more but here the overall picture counts and Sony has won it, especially outside with the stronger bass.
Jbl is a garbage product that does not deserve an iota of money. A person with a real musical ear chooses Sony. Jbl always has an exaggerated artificial sound signature. Bass is delayed and loud.
