  • This is a pattern I created for painting diamonds when I was beginning with Harlequins. I still use it regularly to help prevent common mistakes I would run into when trying to do diamonds all the way around a body part.
More details on how to use this pattern to go over bends or to do a jacket side and arm are in my written guide here: docs.google.co...

This is awesome! Your teaching style is great. Hate to watch someone paint a “tutorial” and not have the tutorial explained. I hope you make a lot more videos!

Amazing result! And it looks very easy to do. The great advantage is that you can easily vary the size of the diamonds. After watching this I am finally confident to paint my harlequins with diamonds.

Great to see your entire process, even with your hand shaking (like mine does), it still comes out good.

Thanks. I'm really hoping to make it easier for everyone to end up with the diamonds they want on their models, even if you shake or make mistakes.

Amazing video! If I were you I would give a try to the redgrass holder, would help you with the diamond pattern, apart from that, you explain yourself quite well, hope to see more videos from you!

Thanks for the compliment! I do actually have a painting handle but don't regularly use it. I often like to hold my models at different angles and I couldn't get comfortable with a handle. I'll have to pull it out again and try painting with it some more.
