Hi, great video! I see Ardbeg, that's a whisky I want to taste. Next weekend I fly to Scotland to hike the WHW, so maybe there is a pub to get an Ardbeg.
Maybe I miss it, do you also get to Talisker?

Um sure you'll find a pub with Ardbeg somewhere along the WHW! If you're doing a detour to Glencoe, I can recommend the Clachaig Inn bar! I've been to Talisker distillery a few years ago on my first trip to Skye! Great tour! It's a popular whisky, so hopefully easy to find too!

@@WildForScotland Thanks, I thought Talisker was also an Islay. I am not an expert yet with whisky. And thanks for recommendation, but I am afraid the detour won't happen. I have enough time, but my hike is organised by travel organisation so my flight home is settled. I take a note, maybe it is possible.

Are you staying at the Kingshouse? I'm sure they have a good whisky selection too!

@@WildForScotland Most of the time I stay at campsites, I had to look it up but they mentioned Kingshouse because of the pub. So thanks again. 🙂

Amazing Video! I have a question: which Distilleries are you visiting for a Dram and which for a Tour? I read Ardbeg, Kilchoman, Bowmore and maybe Laphroaig are for doing a tour? Thank you!

Hi Max, that's exactly right! We did tours at Ardbeg, Laphroig, Kilchoman and Bowmore, and tastings at the other distilleries - different in each. At Caol Ila, we did a whisky and chocolate tasting, at Bruichladdich and Bunnahabhain we did tastings in the shop, at Lagavulin we got let loose in their bar. I don't know if they always manage all the distilleries in two days, but I'm certain they always do their best!!
