As a Spanish speaker, the way they stressed the syllables in the words this time, was a lot more accurate than 95% of most of the presentations I've heard of these piece with other choirs (even with him conducting I must say). Great male soloist and good pronunciation too!! I had to laugh at Eric's face when he heard all the noise the choir caused putting away their binders. Great mics!!! (Let see the the good side). Not all audience quite understood that he wanted them to join in after a while. (Not his fault obviously, just saying). Maybe they were shy or maybe didn't understand what the piece was about. So I have to say that it was not the most impeccable presentation, but still love that piece. It also brings me good memories of the very time I had the chance to perform it.

I debuted this piece in Pasadena CA in 1993 with UNR concert choir! He was still tweaking it...
The performance was actually on Sunday 9th August 2015 - I was there, it was unforgettable. The BBC broadcast it on BBC 4 on Friday 14th.
