BMW suspension is very good, I'm on a cb500x now after 20 years on various BMWs and the suspension is the main thing I miss.

started watching this last night without noticing it was an hour long, so I', 40min in so far. A friend of mine, Solo moto uk has one, his second one over the last few years and loves em. Very popular bikes in the ADV market and the 850's seem to offer pretty good spec for the money!

@@birchwoodbiker I'm aware of the phenomenon that the further north of the M4 you get the tighter the wallet becomes 😉😁- I reckon you'll like the Transalp but maybe dislike the pegs being in the way! Anyway, enjoy!! Hope it's dry for you.

Interesting review, the tingling fingers I suspect would go away or lessen if the arm posture was improved, ie risers etc…I think it’s the same with most bikes, it really is all about custom minute changes….I had that with my NC750DCT… but by changing my arm angle and wrist angle, it has gone away….as you say all bikes have niggles, mine is a faulty bolt on the swing arm that just goes around and around, thus I cannot fit my rear hugger….under warranty so fingers crossed….I like the BMW here, but I think I would find it a tad high….and yes a better after market rear shock…..but it’s horses for courses…good little review..cheers from a pissing down Jersey

@@birchwoodbiker it’s funny, you just need to try all the modes…I have it sussed now on my bike, slow Town riding I find really good using Rain mode, then normal road riding I use Standard, and on my little island, one or two few places to get the speed up a bit, then Sport mode is hit….still trying to calibrate my user mode….one thing I did do on my bike, I took off the side stand pad, I was so unhappy the lean angle was very obtuse…ie I could easily knock it over, now it’s off, feel so much happier, I am very surprised and a bit disappointed with the screen, you just breathe near it and it gets scratched, looks awful…might see if there is a better and slightly higher adjustable one on the market….I was impressed with the BMW, hehe so many great bikes out there, think the wife might have words if I added to my bike…..but you never know…cheers

@@birchwoodbiker cheers for that very handy hint…..as it turned out, when the bike went in for its service, I got the dealer to fix the issue….they put on my rear hugger, looks great….no charge either…..sadly now, my bike is in hibernation, all wrapped up, nice and cosy, got the trickle charger on…I’ll start it from time to time and let it run a bit, but the weather now in Jersey is utter shite….with a very nasty storm heading our way….roads here, covered in leaves and rockfall, so it’s too dangerous….plan to spend the winter revising bike craft and Highway Code, just to refresh my old head….thanks for your kind help, it’s appreciated….look forward to seeing more videos…..I love my bike, it ticks all the boxes…..going to be a keeper that’s for sure…cheers
