Could you use a brayer to put a much thiner layer of the medium on the paper, if it works it will be quicker to apply and more cost effective.
How interesting, I never got the Heidi Swap solution to work, then I started using toner sheets, I’d love to be able to make my double sided paper with the Heidi Swap transfer gel. Thank you for this. Excellent tutorial.

Hello Lisa. ❤️🤗 I’m loving my Minc machine ever since I got it. I’ve been able to create a lot of really beautiful projects. It’s so much fun to use and I had no idea how different it was from a laminator. One of my subscribers had questions about the machine which made me purchase it. I absolutely love your card very very pretty and cute snowman. Good explaining Good Teacher.. I set my laminator on 5 mil and I've not had any problems foiling with it always turns out filled and smooth, it just depends on the heating of individual laminators.

New subscriber here and new to foiling. Confused about the glossy printer paper and inkjet versus laser printer. Can the paper be used to cut out images on either machine? Just confused the more I read…..

Wonderful video Missy. Very creative and easy technique, plus I already have that exact same vinyl matte sticker paper (yay). I am wondering if other “transfer gel/texture paste” mediums for foiling would work for this particular technique, such as “Heidi Swapp Texture Paste - Clear Gloss” or “Deco Foil - Transfer Gel” (the original not the Duo one)?

This definitely opens up a whole new world for foiling. 😍😍😍 It’s wonderful to be able to add shine to a card without all that extra weight and bulk of mirror cardstock. 🥰 Especially if you want to mail the cards. When using the magnetic platform, don’t you put paper down, then die with cut side down on it? That way the magnet holds the die down onto the paper, keeping it in place.
Yes, most definitely that is how you use it. I find, If my card stock is thick and depending on what die I’m using, my magnetic platform doesn’t want to hold it in place and it will slide around if I place the die on top. So I just adapted to cutting both ways with it. You will see me cut with it both ways.
I haven't tried using my laminator for foiling yet but I did see someone using one on youtube and they used parchment paper as the sleeve not printer paper and maybe that would have allowed more head through for less patchiness?

Just a question: the stickervinyl is printable for inkjet and laserprinter. Is it also possible just laserprint with black in stead of using the paste?
Absolutely you can do that if you want to. I like using the paste just because it makes the images thicker and easier to manage when putting to paper. If your sticker paper needs thicker to make it more manageable. Just print through your laser printer and double layer that sheet overtop another piece of sticker paper for thickness, before finally die cutting your images. Hope that makes sense. ❤️❤️❤️
Can the paper be taped on the edges so it doesn't shift while running it through three times?
Yes! If you don’t have the magnetic platform and are using the large plates, definitely tape it so it doesn’t shift. If you have the Sizzix chrome base plate it should only need one time through with it. I haven’t bought the chrome plate yet, but will be getting it soon to try. Have a wonderful night. Why not use a foam brush to paint on the transfer medium?? That's what I am about to do
