    Symbolically this memorial concert is a requiem for great Karajan. Selection of Mozart s requiem is perfect.. Riccardo Muti has done his job perfectly.

    This farewell to this unique immortal genius Karajan is very beautiful and dignified, I think he would have liked it too.
    But I absolutely do not believe in life after death according to the Christian idea. But Karajan will continue to live in his work, as long as there are people on earth.

      Then you believe according to a heretical and false idea... Christ said I AM THE TRUTH. If you don’t believe God’s words, you believe something else, and whatever it is it is wrong.

      Since thinking people have existed for many thousands of years, they have created gods, religions and everyone thinks their religion is the truth.
      In the name of faiths, religions, inconceivable crimes were committed to which millions of people fell victim.
      I cannot believe in gods.
      I believe in people, I see that there are good and bad. That is the truth for me

    • @Stolzing82
      @Stolzing82 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It is an organ improvisation which features the melodies of two Gregorian chants and one traditional German hymn. The melody of the Introit chant “Requiem æternam” is heard at 1:36:10, the melody of the Sequence chant “Dies irae” is heard at 1:37:53 and more prominently at 1:38:18, and the hymn “Herr, ich bin dein Eigentum” is heard at 1:39:11. I hope this information is helpful.

      A Requiem mass is music composed for the soul of a person, catholic one in this case... What kind of heretical things are there?

      @thomaswaibel7510 wieso ein herätisches treffen? nie ist man näher bei gott als in der stunde des todes. hier wird die nichtigkeit der menschlichen existenz maximal dokumentiert.
      hier wird der mensch auf das reduziert was er ist. ein nichts, ein armer sünder, eine schuldige existenz. gleichwohl ist nie die gnade und liebe gottes näher als am ende des lebens als am ende des irdischen weges eines menschen. hier wird auch das hl. messopfer gefeiert inklusive der kommunion der grössten gnadengabe gottes das er sich selbst uns geopfert hat in seinem sohn. also wenn nicht hier wann ist es dann eine heilige messe.

    I hope he treated the angelic host of musicians better than he treated the Berlin Philharmonic in rehearsal.

    • @robertberger4203
      @robertberger4203 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Karajan never treated the musicians of the Berlin Philharmonic badly, or other musicians such as the Vienna Philharmonic . It wasn't is style to yell and scream during rehearsals . He realized that this is counterproductive musically .

    • @antoineduchamp4931
      @antoineduchamp4931 ปีที่แล้ว

      why indeed then was the principal timpanist instructed by the orchestra to go to Karajan and inform him that the orchestra could no longer support him. In return he cancelled lucrative concerts and film rights in reprisal. There was a terrible atmosphere in the orchestra leading up to his dismissal, and it lasted for a long time. This was a reflection of his behaviour to the orchestra, which many saw as tyrannical. @@robertberger4203

      It's well known that Karajan took care of the BPO musicians. As they took care of Furtwängler.

    • @antoineduchamp4931
      @antoineduchamp4931 ปีที่แล้ว

      The musicians said he was an anomoly. He was tyrannical and utterly inflexible in rehearsal, but if the musicians had personal problems, he was said to be very helpful. He was however removed from his post for life by younger musicians who were tired of his dominating behaviour. (He always said in rehearsal...only one person speaks, meaning of course himself)@@ilirllukaci5345

      Karajan was a strength, but very kind person, he never shouted to his orchestrals, but he tried to let them improve with serious sessions...
