just got an nr1510 for $200. Bought it as a temp receiver. Kind of bummed out bc it doesnt have hdmi 2.1. Might end up upgrading to a cinema 60 in the near future

Thank you for watching! I think $200 for this unit is quite a steal to be honest. Like i mentioned in the review, this is not a powerful receiver and is really mean to power smaller units unless you use an external amp. You are exactly right, it does not have 2.1 which is a bummer because it would be the perfect unit to handle next gen consoles. That may not be a deal breaker because not too many games are using 120hz but i am not an expert in that field. Overall, the unit considering its small form factor is a good unit for small rooms/setups. I believe the entire Marantz lineup is being replaced by the cinema line so the Cinema 60 sounds like a good step up. As far as power goes, they appear to be identical with the exception of the Cinema 60 allowing 120p pass through via HDMI 2.1

Hello from Istanbul. I plan to buy Marantz 1510. But I have a question mark in my head? I would appreciate it if you could help.
The question mark is: Can this receiver power without problems for 2 kef q 150 and one kef q 650 c and finally one subwoofer?
I would appreciate it if you could give detailed information.
Note: I plan to use this device in a 40m2 hall.
    Thank you...

Hi, do you think it has more than 50watts if I only use to drive the center channel? I have a 2 channel stereo system and planning on a 3.1. Also does it have a downmix from 5.1 to 3.1 and separate channel gain adjustments (ie. make the center louder). Thanks!

Thank you for watching! So what i would recommend for this receiver is possibly having an external amp to power the Front left and right channels since it has pre-outs for 2 channels. That way, if you have big power-hungry speakers, they are not starved for power. In my current setup, I do not even have a full 5.1 setup. I only have the front LR and Surround LR. No center channel. Even without that, the Front LR does a pretty good job downmixing and simulating a center channel for dialog. You can definitely use Audyssey to adjust the channel levels. I would first do the auto room calibration and then tweak the channel levels as needed to your liking.
