I really this pick. A solid center and Danny managed to get a 3rd rounder next year. I was a bit sad to not have Buium, but adding a great fast center is very exciting and fills a need in the flyers!

At first I was confused with this pick, still am in a way. I haven’t been this excited for The Flyers since The Cup run. I trust Briere and Co. and did a little research on this fella. Jett definitely has potential to be a steal, he is possibly the fastest guy in the OHL, he led his dismal team in points , crafty with the puck and good defensively. Oh and he was only 3 weeks away from not being eligible for this draft being only 17
He is younger than most in his draft class too as you said. This will turn out to be a steal especially if the kid turns out to be like Nick Suzuki. Plus, he’s a workhorse and never takes off on a shift. This is the kind of culture Tortorella is trying to build in Philly and rightfully so. Plus think about the cap relief they are going to get after next season where they can really get aggressive and actually add two to three big name players to the roster. They are going to be dangerous soon and surprise a lot of teams.
Danny blew it not making the deal with CBJ. BUT this kid is fast asf I think youngest player in the draft . Personally I wanted Eiserman but I just hope he turns into top 6 NHLer cause he’s gonna be a project piece. atleast 3 years before he sees the NHL. Hope by then Tippet is still as fast as he is.
I don't think he blew it tbh. He was aggressive in trying to trade up but CBJ didn't take the bait. I think he made a solid move with Luchanko which may not be earth shattering at the moment but the kid's stock has been rising the past few weeks. If he turns out to be anything like Suzuki, it will be a home run for Briere. I agree with you on Eiserman as he was at the top of my list too. Having three first round picks in next year's draft could be great as its way deeper than this year's draft.

The age is the biggest factor here. He’s almost a year behind the top guys and is already a first round talent. That means something.
Kid is young and tested extremely well at the combine, top 10 in 8 categories. First in 3 of them, Three in top 5.
