- As Austin B departure from Home Free after 12 years, the group offer the position to Adam Bastien. This is his very first song coming back to the group. Forgive the quality, but it IS indeed the FIRST song with Bastien as a permanent member of the new era of Home Free!
Just like Chance was not Chris, Bastien is not Austin. Our love for Chris and Austin will never waiver. Bastien is looking and sounding good up there while he worms his way into our heart.

Ieah, I do miss Austin and his very distinctive tenor voice but I also love the new sound of Home Free with Bastien. From the 3-4 videos I've seen of him with Home Free (in addition to the OneUpDuo videos I've fallen in love with the last week or so) I'm loving his voice and his moves and his personality and he seems to be fitting in. I'm really looking forward to seeing them in Redding.
Yes, I will miss Austin also but Bastien is a great choice. Also look at 7th Ave videos, he is great in them.

Heard a few songs he did with Chris rupp & some of Chris' family. He's got a geeat voice, but it seems more suited to a 90s/pop/boy-band (in my opinion). Looking forward to see how well he integrates his sound woth the rest of the group. It's hard to imagine that the guys would have taken him on if they didn't think he'd fit right in. Could take a little time, but I think he'll work out fine.

Bastion needs to be Bastien. & quit trying to imitate Austin.
Austin can’t be replaced. Not his voice, or his showmanship or charisma on stage.
Austin & Rupp loves performing. The other 3, Chance, Rob, & Tim come in and do their “job”
Big difference.
But the new guy sounds ok . Austin gives him great praise
I think Chris Rupp should of came back
I don't think Chris wanted to come back somehow. He's busy doing his own thing with other people. Also Chris is a baritone, like Chance, so the dynamics would have been thrown off without the high tenor. I don't know about Bastien copying Austin, as he (Bastien) was a member of HF before Austin, it could well have been the other way round 😉. I look forward to their first new song together & I think we'll be able to judge much better after that.
Bastien isn’t trying to imitate Austin. They’re two different people. And do you really think Tim Chance and Rob are just there to do their job? I’ve seen them live twice and none of them appeared to have just shown up because it’s their job. They’re all talented in their own way
