I would add one thing and go as far as to say that although technology has been a great resource in education, as a teacher I also believe it also has been the single greatest cause of student academic failure. Cell phones in particular have contributed to more failure than any other negative factor. They make all of us, students included, lose self-control and change our habits, including the amount of time and effort we commit to furthering ourselves. The effects of this and the other impacts you mention are some of our biggest challenges in education. Gotta go…I see a Jonny Depp trial video begging me to watch it.
