I have really come to like these videos of yours about the natural world and I think the African Fish Eagle and Secretarybird are my favourite picks from this one. Side note: My Dad has taken work jobs in South Africa in the past and seen some of the wildlife there, he even had an encounter with a Giraffe.
I saw my first American Bald Eagle in the wild the other day where it was building a nest. I thought it was a Great Blue Heron until I saw its familiar white head then I flipped out when realized there is nesting pair Bald eagles within walking distance of my home. They like silver carp too!
Only Americans need feel the need to put “American bald eagle” like those birds only belong to Americans and can’t fly into Canada. Up here we just call them bald eagles only Americans pull goofy shit like that.
For the larger invasive species such as feral pigs and Himalayan thar in South Africa I bet the top non bird predators such as the big cats african wild dogs spotted hyena and Nile crocodile are a big help in controlling their populations
We get fish eagles and secretary birds here in my home town. You tend to mostly only hear the eagles, but the secretary birds are not shy and I see them often when doing our local park run.
@@CrownofMischief in a literal sense. In this case, I bet if people were to stop hunting the secretary bird right now, and train it to eat geckos, which are invasive in Africa that would really make my day.
at 6:20 you show a paddlefish which isn't even native to the continent of Africa. there were two species, one in china (extinct now) and one in the US which is vulnerable.
Whats interesting to me is that in my country, the invasive javan myna is more commonly seen than our native common myna though theyre also doing ok here, love ur vids btw! ^^
That is a nice video. I strongly suspect that the flying bird at 6:58 is actually a Brahminy Kite (of Australasia), rather than an African Fish-Eagle. The colour pattern is strangely similar between the two but the shape is surely different.

@@TsukiCove if you ask me, I think a secretary bird breeding program is an order, and I think I know plenty of zoos more than happy to do it
Fun fact - the prevalent theory as to why it's called the secretary bird is that someone thought it looked like it had quill pens behind its ears!
How about protect more secretary bird nests, by scaring their predators all
Nice Videos👍
Secretarybird is such a badass bird
For the larger invasive species such as feral pigs and Himalayan thar in South Africa I bet the top non bird predators such as the big cats african wild dogs spotted hyena and Nile crocodile are a big help in controlling their populations
Sadly, there are not many places in South Africa where the big predators still exist.
This makes Birds are living dinosaurs hit even harder than it did before
The secretary bird looks almost like a dinosaur! 😮
All three of these birds are raptors (birds of prey). They are my favorite group of birds.
Great video

People keep training their pet mynas to repeat human phrases and words. Me, I'd make them listen to Jurassic Park sound effects.
Nature is a beauty... invasive species could save endangered native species... what a result...
Can you next talk about invasive species that are beautiful/have a unique appearance
Sectraty bird can be helpful for Australians do to there Rat problem.
I have a question: are masai ostriches often owned in zoos? Or at least more often than north-african ostriches?

Very interesting to see the common myna in Singapore where it’s also found it’s almost extinct here since the Javan myna is beating it
France and the USA is also considered the invasive species of Africa too
