When you do the gel test at 100 yards you should add in the CCI VNT ammo. It’s Nickle plated cases and has a yellow tip but they claim it has a thinner jacket for more reliable expansion at longer range. I haven’t really found anyone who has put that claim to the test yet.
Good test. I'm looking forward to seeing the HMR AND Long Rifle tests. I am subscribe. I wanted a 17 Match, but then it didn't sell well, I guess and I think they stopped selling ammo for a while. Happy 2025 New Year!
Actually the 17 M2 is the CCI stinger case, which is longer than the standard 22LR case, best I remember. My experience, the 17HMR is a more accurate cartridge than the 17M2 and that’s testing in Cooper, CZ, and Marlin rifles. I sold all my 17M2’s.
Cool video. Just an FYI, cartridges are "necked down", I had 2 HMRs, sold one to my bestie, and he uses it all the time to smoke criters trying to get to his chickens. I will probably get a Mach 2 too. Cheers!
@@BuckeyeBallistics yes you are correct, but I believe 17 hornet and Remington are more common. I could be wrong. Also if I lived close by to you I would gladly drive over and let you use them for a video, but I don’t. Sorry
It would be interesting to see the mach 2 and hmr sxs in gel
BB. Good and interesting video of that small round. Thanks for sharing and take care. And Happy New Year.

Interesting- I have some of those in .22wmr to test, I'll look for .17 Mach 2 & HMR as well...
Interesting video. Thanks for posting it.
Thanks for watching

A brick of 17 Mach2 & a case of marshmallow Peeps would be heaven. On a non-windy day. 👍🙏🎯
Gotta try that, maybe an Easter special this year...

Tomato-tamato, creek-crik, pop-soda...
Specifically it's the Stinger 22LR necked down to .17.
I am curious about what you would shoot a 7 yards with these peashooters. That said knowledge is always a good thing.
Exactly. Test at 50 & 100yds. Typical rimfire distances I shoot at game with my 17 HMR’s and 22mags.
Guys I literally said in the video that I'd be doing that and I have already been doing it with .22wmr & .17hmr...
Now all you need is a 17 hornet and 17 Remington comparison.
You skipped .17wsm and .17 Rem Fireball

That would be great. I've had a few people contribute to the content on the channel over the years, couldn't post as much as I do without em.
Did you use sights in this test 😂😂
Nope, scope- singular. It's ok dude, I know you secretly love my videos...
