I always remember the conversation between Meri and Robyn when Meri told Robyn that the divorce was final. Meri seemed quite distraught over it and Robyn could barely contain her glee. Robyn said "so that sucker's done, huh?" and she was trying to contain a smirk while she said it. That's when I knew that Robyn had probably manipulated that whole situation in order to move herself up from 4th wife to first wife. I'm not American so don't know how health insurance works in the U.S. but it dawned on me at the time? Why would you have to marry somebody to get health insurance, can't you just buy it? And even if they couldn't, which I doubt, the other kids never had health insurance so why was it so important for Robyn's kids to have it when the other 13 kids didn't? That story just never made sense to me except as maybe a ruse! Shame! Shame!

Back then we didnt know the other kids didnt have health insurance, but now that we do it made zero sense than Robyns kids had priority to get it over Janelle or Christines kids. Robyn pulled some strings to get them all to agree to that Im sure. I think around this time she was also playing Meri and maybe being a surrogate for her then after the divorce suddenly those dreams were dashed. About a year or so ago I did some research, the excuse to divorce Meri was so kody could legally adopt her kids. Utah law states a parent does not need to be legally married to adopt each others children. Curious to know if the reason she pushed for a LEGAL marriage is so she would have the divorce laws behind her if the marriage did not work and she could cash in on the family’s shared income. I always remember the conversation between Meri and Robyn when Meri told Robyn that the divorce was final. Meri seemed quite distraught over it and Robyn could barely contain her glee. Robyn said "so that sucker's done, huh?" and she was trying to contain a smirk while she said it. That's when I knew that Robyn had probably manipulated that whole situation in order to move herself up from 4th wife to first wife. I'm not American so don't know how health insurance works in the U.S. but it dawned on me at the time? Why would you have to marry somebody to get health insurance, can't you just buy it? And even if they couldn't, which I doubt, the other kids never had health insurance so why was it so important for Robyn's kids to have it when the other 13 kids didn't? That story just never made sense to me except as maybe a ruse! Shame! Shame!

Utah law states a parent does not need to be legally married to adopt each others children. I completely understand how Robyn could be worse than Kody. With him, it’s more outwardly there and he’s not ashamed of his actions. But with Robyn, she is more behind closed doors with her actions, if that makes sense. My mother always said watch out for the quiet ones or even the ones who don’t talk as much because you never know what they are planning or plotting. And I believe that’s exactly what Robyn did.
