As people are judging Janelle harshly for getting taken in by Kody, I remember a camping trip Kody and Janelle did early on and Janelle saying that they really enjoyed talking and being together. I think he led her to believe that he was her soulmate and he enjoyed her more than the other women. He also complained that she wasn’t demonstrative enough in public. I’m sure she was flattered to think that she was the favored one.

Unfortunately for women in polygamy, with no legal marriage they are at risk financially if the husband decides he isn't a believer anymore. I'm not a supporter of legalizing polygamy because that would be incredibly complex legally and doesn't benefit society, but the women should have legal protection.

Unfortunately for women in polygamy, with no legal marriage they are at risk financially if the husband decides he isn't a believer anymore. I'm not a supporter of legalizing polygamy because that would be incredibly complex legally and doesn't benefit society, but the women should have legal protection.
