Hi everyone! This is one of the first videos I made on TH-cam, so I have since made an improved/updated version of the “20 Best Things To Do on the Pembrokeshire Coast”, that you can watch here if you like, it's got more detail, better footage, and even some extra locations: th-cam.com/video/q2RMJhYNBDM/w-d-xo.html Or for "10 Things To Do in Carmarthenshire", click here: th-cam.com/video/hgXdk8VNYqg/w-d-xo.html
Solva is a great little place to stop at if heading to St Davids it is quite good for Wheelchairs and the people are helpful there is also a lovely cafe on the quay. Very quaint.
If I was dating the castles mentioned, I'd say Laugharne is mainly 13th-14th century in terms of what you see. Manorbier (which I love) is certainly more Norman as it has lovely Romanesque features... but it's still more 12th century than 11th. And Llansteffan’s... whilst also Norman to begin with, is actually on the site of an Iron Age fort, so you can either call it much older or... again, more 12th century than 11th. This is because most (barring very rare exceptions) early Norman castles in the 11th century after the 1066 invasion were speedily constructed in wood (atop the raised mottes)... and only those that remained important over time got the stone you start to see much later.
Thank you! I'm glad you've been enjoying! Wales is always a place I live visiting but its unfortunately usually wet🤣 My channel is still quite new so I'm still learning and improving my videos! But when travel returns to normal I'm really excited to make a lot more!!
Great little clip of our beautiful wales ! Only thing Pendine sands , Llaugharne and Llanstephan are in Carmarthenshire not Pembrokeshire 🏴 great work though !
I agree with all your recommendations Alex and your videos are all so well done. St Govans Chapel near Bosherton is also worth a look if you havent already been there and also the Stackpole Inn, so chocolate box pretty and really good food.
Indeed, I sadly ran out of time for St. Govan's Chapel when I visited, but I'm heading back to Pembrokeshire next summer to catch up on everything I missed last time!
Looks amazing! We recently had a go at the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and got from Amroth to St. Justinians. It was an incredible journey. Great video!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed! If I went again I would definitely do an even longer walk around the coastal path, we only did a few small segments but it looked incredible!
Looks like a beautiful part of the country! I’ll definitely be looking at this channel before planning a trip! Keep up the amazing work! Your channel is gonna blow up in no time! 🔥
I lived there for years and it's stunning. Staying with my son there in a couple of weeks.....Llangwm to Black Tar walk is out of this world and so peaceful.😊
Hi, your channel was such a lucky find for me today. Am going to Pembroke next weekend and was wondering what to start our sightseeing trip with. Thank you for the list to start us off. New subscriber. Will be watching your channel from now on 😁👍
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed! There was so much to do in Pembrokeshire, I'm hopefully heading back next summer because I think there were many things I missed!
Love west wales, next time you should carry on from ST David’s to Abereiddy to the blue lagoon, absolutely stunning and you can walk about 30 minutes further along the cliffs where you come to the smallest harbour called Porthgain with a lovely restaurant right in front of you.
We did in fact visit again last week. We walked from St Davids to Porthclais Harbour which was such a picturesque harbour that was so unexpected. We then drove further on to Abereiddy and the Blue Lagoon for a swim which was amazing! Next time I'll make sure to walk further on towards Porthgain!
I live In Milford Haven in Pembrokeshire....us locals sometimes we take things for granted when it comes to views and scenery. Love the videos....I'm moving to Torquay in Devon. I would recommend you visit Torquay too
Indeed! In Pembrokeshire it seemed like any direction you look was a perfect view! I have visited Torquay when I was much younger (not that I remember much) it'd definitely be worth another visit for me!
Gave you another sub bro! Keep working at it your videos are good! Try pushing them in Facebook groups! I joined like 100 fishing groups i post my videos in!
Surprised you only have 54 subs your videos are good. I started in march also but I'm close to 500 subscribers. Keep working at it and don't give up!👍👊🎣💯🔥💥
I think I've had a bit of a learning curve since starting as I'm noticing much more channel growth recently. So hopefully I'm on the right track now! I'll be posting more very soon!
Hi, we'll be visiting Pembrokeshire coast in about a week and will be visiting Manorbier castle. We were wondering how much time you would spend there as we're also visiting Tenby that day and want to make the best of it. Would a couple of hours suffice?
Manorbier is a great castle to relax at but there are also lots of details to explore! So I think you could spend a couple of hours there. There are so many things to do in Tenby so you could easily spend a full day there if you wanted to. For a more detailed look at everything you can do in Tenby, feel free to watch my video on Tenby here: th-cam.com/video/ZVcP6RdTRWE/w-d-xo.html
Carew castle. Haverfordwest castle. Pembroke castle......😊 lived in Pembrokeshire. 5 min from Broad Haven beach and walk to Little Haven.....Solva is beautiful.....next to Newgale.
I'm heading back next summer so I'll definitely look into visiting those places infuture videos! I felt there were so many things I missed on my first trip around Pembrokeshire last year so I can't wait to go back
Good video but just a bit of constructive criticism for you: Some places on this list of things to do in Pembrokeshire are not in Pembrokeshire! Laugherne and Llansteffan are not in Pembrokshire. Also would have been good to include a bit more on Pembrokeshire national park which is for many the best part of the county.
Indeed! I have learned this since making this video! I have a video going up later this week on Wales in which hopefully I can correct some of the mistakes I made in these older videos🤣 ...hopefully!
Trying to put my finger on what you might do on this channel and one thing maybe... sometimes the camera shot can feel limited, instead of feeling like you are there it feels like looking at photos... sure, sometimes this is correct but sometimes it feels a bit boxed in. Just a thought. Incidentally, how many subs do you have in Kazakhstan? I recommended you to my students as your English is really clear and engaging.
Thanks for the advice! This was an old video and so was only filmed from my phone before I had my camera setup that I use now... so hopefully my footage has improved since then in my more recent ones. Also, in response to your question 0.2% of my viewers are from Kazakhstan! ...and thanks for the promotion too!
Thanks for the information! I actually learned this a couple months after posting this video, but I thought as they're all so close to the Pembrokeshire Coast they're easy to visit for anyone on holiday in Pembrokeshire!
Indeed! This was one of my first videos, I have since fixed my mistake and made separate Pembrokeshire Coast and Carmarthenshire videos, Just too many amazing places to visit in this area!

You should have taken in Barafundle Bay, rated as one of the top ten beaches in the world.
Indeed, there's always too many things to do and too little time! 🤣I wanted to visit Barafundle Bay, but I didn't get the chance.
Laugharne castle: neat. Thanks 4 sharing
Thanks for watching! Can't miss out a tour of Laugharne Castle!
Maybe do some research in future..neither Laugharne or Llansteppan are in Pembrokeshire..their in Carmarthenshire

I will do, I think I haven't been doing much external promotion off of youtube, so I'll do that! Thanks for the advice & thanks for the sub!
Interesting places of attractions in West Wales. Video is moving very fast with more information. Drive Slow is ideal . 💂🏴

you should have gone to pembroke castle its in excellant condition, cromwell is said to have attacked this castle
Indeed! It was unfortunately closed when I visited... But it just means I'll have to go back! Can never get enough of a castle with a good history!
you can book on line
Laugharne, Pendine and Llansteffan are in Carmarthenshire not on the Pembrokeshire Coast
Thanks for the information! I actually learned this a couple months after posting this video, but I thought as they're all so close to the Pembrokeshire Coast they're easy to visit for anyone on holiday in Pembrokeshire!
Was just about to write the same thing 👍🏴👍
美麗...美好的地方
Lots of these places are not in Pembrokeshire?!??!!!!
Pendine is Carmarthenshire not Pembrokeshire as is laugharne castle
Indeed, I've since learned this! I'm heading back to Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire soon so I can correct my error in future videos!😂
Neither Laugharne or Llansteffan are in Pembrokeshire.. they are both in Carmarthenshire.
Just being picky... Great video otherwise

Too much Alex, not enough wales.
watching this video made me bored, all about yourself showing not the places you been, just sit there and talk no sense at all
