At 3 minutes in I said George 6th became King in 1952 🤦
Of course he died in 1952. He became King in 1936.
@CoinPatrol Comments like that are endearing and funny. Thats why I like watching your videos.
I was just going to correct you. As Elizabeth 11 reign was from 6th of Feb', would that be a low minted coin?
Thanks
Wow, thank you Will, much appreciated 👍
@@CoinPatrol Now its only a £40 Bundle!!!
Thanks for the video Paul 👍 at least you got some good upgrades.
Hi Paul,I don’t think you had quite got value for money there, but I would be happy with all the upgrades that you had. Thanks for letting me share the video with you. From JRS.
7:41 it's a Ceylon 1 cent, probably 1870
Love Sue's little shouts from beyond
Some nice upgrades of the Whitman albums 😊
Great stuff 👍🏻
8:06 The "Max Planck" 2 DM coins were withdrawn from circulation by 1980. Unlike the old 5 DM coin, which consisted to a considerable share of silver, the 2 DM coins were made of "nickel silver", which doesn't contain any silver. The motive was replaced then by the portraits of five chancellours. These new 2 DM coins remained in circulation until the introduction of the €uro.
Thanks for the info 👍
Was that a deliberate mistake, that George 6th acceded to the throne in the year he passed😂😂 That high tide 1902 is possibly the best conditioned Edward 7th coin I’ve seen, You’ve not covered your costs here but as the insightful Sue says, you’re easily pleased 😂😂
Nice one Ian. Well done for spotting my deliberate mistake
Paul, thanks for another nice video. Nice to see you got a good number of upgrades for your Whitman albums. Also a lovely range of good quality coins. Overall not a bad gamble!!
So many in stunning condition
62 must’ve been a significant date to the original collector
Great to see so many album upgrades - worth it for that alone. Individual purchase would cost less but far less fun too
It was worth making a video of it and hopefully recoup your money. I always enjoy your hunts. The humour and insights are worth it.
Thanks Jason 👍
At least you purchased this before the US starts imposing Tariffs on UK and Europe. UPS, DHL and other commercial carriers are leaving notices for people to pick up packages at their respective warehouses so they can pay the Tariffs on packages originating from China and Hong Kong.
Pay to receive what was sent?
That's holding mail to ransom. Suggest seeking legal advice.
The seller pays the fees for delivery.
P&P is frequently charged to the buyer by the seller, not by the courier.
You can cut your losses by stripping out the few good coins and reselling the rest.
Nice upgrades Paul! 😃👍
I’d be happy to get loads of upgrades like that!😊
You bought yourself a real bargain, going by prices here in Australia. Some nice finds in there either way so well done.
Hi Paul, Thanks to watching your videos. I've found a 1946 dot penny, loads of KN and H pennies, and half tooth errors, so thank you.
Cheers Will. Thank you very much for becoming a member of my channel 👍
Some nice upgrades for the whitman albums but sadly not worth the money you paid for the lot 😢 Thanks for Sharing Paul 😊
Fun watch congrats on all of the upgrades
I think the corroded Victoria coin is from Hong Kong or a British Asian territory. You can make out a little bit of the border design like the Hong Kong 1/2 Dollar and Dollar coins had in the late 1800s.
Sri Lanka, then Ceylon, 1/4 Cent - Victoria 1870-1901
Those look pretty cool too I should start my British version of my coin collection with my American,Canada,France, and German coin collection
Looks amazing Paul! Big box of some nice coins!
Just subbed your channel very interesting 👍
I think you did very well,I couldn't have done near as well here in the states
Some nice upgrades. Thanks Paul
May not have broken even, but you've gotten a bunch of lovely condition coins in the lot. Thanks for sharing
8.02 W German 2 Marks is actually 1964. The date is beside the Eagles Talons.
Some nice coins there Paul. As for the price, I have noticed that the prices on eBay have gone a little silly of late so £45 for this lot, unsighted really as you can never tell what there is for sure from a photo, I think did you did well. I won a 9.5kg lot last week, cost £77 which was cheap compared to some smaller lots I saw go for £100+,. There were some flipped coins that you could not tell what they were from the photo, as it turned out they were a number of half pennies from 1900 to 1920, some in really nice, F - VF condition. 2.5kgs of the overall weight was Irish, a mix of pre-decimal and decimal. One pre-decimal farthing and a number of decimal Irish was added plus the upgrades of the Half pennies made it worth while.
I know you tend to keep your extra's, mine get lumped into a bucket and will be put back on eBay in due course to recoup the costs.
A great hunt and worth your £45. Always satisfying to get some upgrades and some of those pennies were in amazing condition.
Hey just wondering were did you get those Whiteman trifold books for British coins? I have been looking for over a year for some of those books with no luck!
Hi, I get all my Whitman folders from eBay
Hi Paul, if you're happy with the price of the hunt that's really all that matters
I think you did alright there especially with the upgrades.
I reckon that was a reasonable purchase- especially for someone just starting out in the world of numismatics.
Nice coin hunt, I think you did ok. you could have spent way more money going out to dinner and a movie. Opening a big box of coins is way more fun.
I'll happily watch your coin hunts regularly, because i collect old and new UK coins, and i also collect all types of foreign coins too 💜💜💜💜💜
Thanks Paul, we all got good value from your £45 🙂
You should get those coins out of the PVC sleeves, because PVC degrades coins over time. Also wipe over the coins with acetone to remove any PVC residue.
You're right. I've alrady taken them out and those sleeves are in the trash can 👍
Definitely worth an acetone wipe with a q-tip. You can already see the PVC haze damage
45 quid for a nice pair of Thrupneys is money well spent. 😂😂😂
Enjoyable, what a pity the 1902 low tide wasn't in the same condition as the common variety. I only collect definitive coins with the exception of the proof version of the same coin. I broke up my 1970 proof end of Sterling set to use the obverse for display purposes. Perhaps swop the second obverse of the Queen Elizabeth half crown in the Whitman out for the 1970 obverse?
Good idea Peter, I will do that 👍
the worn victoria coin, ceylon half or quarter cent i think
Maybe not worth £45, but as you couldn't tell from the photos it's always worth gamble. I can't understand why so many eBay sellers can't seem to use a camera 🤷🏻♂. Must say there were a lot of decent conditioned pre-decimals in that lot, and you may recoup some of your outlay by selling some on (as long as you photograph them properly! 😂)
Cheers Glen. I don't sell coins so I'll probably end up giving them away 👍
frankly they where worth £30--- £35 tops. A nice 1934 penny which is rarely seen in any decent grade and as you say the 1902 LT but otherwise you would have whizzed through the pennies & ha'pennies if it was one of your Hunts
Yes, you're right Ian, I did over bid for this lot. I like taking risks on these sort of lots so I'll try again 👍
I’ve paid more for a nice pair of threepenny bits tbf 😅
Do some Guineas, or early milled Paul, I would watch the hell out of that.
You send me them Mark and I'll search through them
@@CoinPatrolin the post, Paul 😊
I found 2 1915 recessed ear penny's and 1 1916 recessed ear penny in a penny hunt I did
those plastic flips are all starting to degrade and will damage those coins. You can see the green residue from those horroible little pouches on many of the coins.
They're all in the bin now (The plastic flips not the coins)
p.s. most of the 62 coins would be 62yrs old!
Nice one. I didn't think off that 👍
Blooming he'll remember them tobacco tins showing my age
I don't think you overpaid, some of those coins were in good condition and definitely upgrades, I've paud quite a bit more than that for ONE Victorian Penny in good condition! Besides living in the USA, just the shipping would add 50% to the total cost!
Did the GVIR portraits ever change, I don't think they did
That looks like a Queen Victoria Canadian cent
Any oddities in the 1/2d years?
Check the Churchill coins for the designers initials ??
Cheers Andrew. Yes, I alwasy check for that. Infact I made a short video about it. Here's the link:

Mmmm... was the fun worth 45 quid?? maybe, maybe not!! 🍻👍😁
I wonder if somebody saved their pocket money during 1962 and forgot all about them.
That's Edward VII 12:31
45 quid you could have gotten Sue something nice for that 🤦 you let her know I've got something for her I'll get it in the post asap,👍
Thank you Dave. Look forward to it. 👍
@@coinfountain1339 🤗
Those pouches look like the ones that will turn the coins green
When did you find the 1946 3 pence?
Hi Danny. I got a collection of coins that a friend gave me. It included the 1946. Not technically a hunt, but I added it anyway.
George V1 died in 1952, he became king in 1936
I have a load of commemorative 50ps I could sell you - maybe you could do a video and see which ones you get.
The 1907 was Edward VII not VI! (12 mins 30)
Hey mate. Would you be interested in selling some of these coins?
Like one yea
I am astonished how badly your coppers wear. I have a 20 Swiss centimes of 1884, came to me in normal circulation, and while it shows some wear, it's nowhere near als bad as you 1920ies. But then, it's a nickel alloy, not copper.
That 2 DM piece is of 1964; the 1947 is the death year of Max Planck depicted on it.
I don't understand your Whitman Album? All those gaps and poor quality coins? I personally only have one set of Whitman Albums and keep all my very best examples of coins in there, with no gaps
Soumds boring. I could buy great quality coins and put them in a Whitman album, but there's no fun in that.
$45.00lb ouch I hope you did well mate, like the 1925, and 1924 Halfpennys , love that1939 Farthing, 1966 three pence, 1967 six pence, love the 1933 Halfpenny, 1937 Halfpenny, 1931 Half
Penny, German 2Reischmark Commerative, 1930 half Penny, 1929 Half Penny, 1912 because I don't have it, same with the 1917 !!! Love that 1947 penny and 1948, 1966 shilling, 1967
Florin, 1962 HalfCrown I have a ton of them but not in that nice shape!!! Like the Francs too for there designs, Belgium Franc, gorgeous 1948 Half Penny, gorgeous 1967 sixpence, gorgeous
1937 three pence, and 1952 also, Half Crown 1967. I just wish I get my hands on some of those Whitman British Coin folders, I have been slowly transferring all my U.S., Canadian, as I obtain folders, but I have trouble with the Canadian also. Also the 1922, 1929, 1911, 1913, because I don't have many from that era, love the 1934 Wow. Just found a 1914 penny day before
Yesterday, low tide 1902, those 1902 are beautiful, 1918, 1916, 1920, 1930 , 1931, 1905,1919, 1949 ,1922 Czechoslovakia, 1977 Jubilee 25th anniversary Crown, and another Churchill Crown. Personally I would of paid that much for those coins. You should see the cost of a large penny or Halfpenny over here in New York State now yeesh!!! Gary Bailey 🌩️ ⚡ 🍀 💚 🦉 🇺🇸 🇨🇦 🇬🇧 🇦🇮 🧳 🧭 ⌚ 🕰️ 🧭 🧳
You got a good deal there ⚓️🧲👍
