‘Media here sucks’: Sky News host lauds Dana White for blasting Australia’s ‘weak’ media

Sky News host Gabriella Power has backed Dana White’s claim that Australia’s has a “weak” media.
The UFC boss slammed Sydney Morning Herald editor Bevan Shields over his article that described the UFC as a “repulsive circus” and Dana White as an "enabler of hatred."
“I saw a story where the guy was like ‘I saw Dana do a podcast with the Premier and it physically made me sick’ - holy f**king s**t, you guys must have the biggest bunch of p***ies of all time in the media here,” Mr White said at a press conference on Sunday.
Sky News host Gabriella Power took aim at journalist Bevan Shields for failing to mention gender equality in his article about the problems with the UFC.
Dana White told the Straight Talk with Mark Bouris podcast, “The women make just as much money as the men do. When you look at the UFC, it’s very real and very fair.
Ms Power said, “Funny how that didn’t get mention in Bevan Shields article".
“For someone who has previously written about gender equality and appears to care about it... you’d think it’d be worth a mention."
Ms Power said Dana White’s criticism of Australia’s media was “fair enough”.
In November last year, ABC chair Kim Williams labelled podcaster Joe Rogan as “deeply repulsive” after admitting he’d never listened to him.
"How embarrassing is that? It’s no wonder more and more people are rejecting the mainstream media," Ms Power said.
