Thank you so much for this video! I was able to save $1000 (at least) by replacing a cracked wet end myself. Spa place wanted $700 for a new pump and $120/hr. labor. I fixed the problem with a $75 wet end and $30 of tools. The hardest part was getting the size right.
This is my exact tub with exact problem, well my left side big pump is also leaking, I have unfortunately got rusted bearings in the motors from leaking also. Where did you find the wet end ? Part number and who you got it from would be fantastic!!!!! Thanks for the great video it was just what I was looking for. !!!!
The wet end will be a different part number on the big pump but I got mine directly from beachcomber hottubs. The same dealer I bought my tub from. I ended up replacing the bearing in my motor as well since the leaking wet end caused it to rust. The bearing was 8bucks from a local bearing supply place. It’s not hard to replace. Quick question. How hot does your pump get when it’s running? I have the exact same pump. I’ve replaced the impeller and seal (due to it leaking). It now runs nice but when I touch the motor body it’s red hot. Should it run that hot? Any help is appreciated

Hey i have the same pump system i believe and that seal is leaking.... where do i find an impeller if mine breaks well taking it off like what happened to yours? Thanks

That is a good question. I know mine is hot because it is constantly running but I’ll check to see if it’s red hot.

I just checked and it’s only warm and runs all the time. So red hot probably isn’t very good and won’t last much longer. Hope this helps.

You would have to buy a whole new wet end if you break the impeller.
