Batt, I always love watching you play and this video is as good as any, but I think the answer to "can we basic them?" is a resounding no. Like I've said before, I'd love to watch videos of you just playing your A game with no intentions of murder OR basics, but for this Basics series, I'd really appreciate more kyu games :) Love

I lost 3 games this week where I was up by at least 30 midgame. it's crazy to think rushing the game can cost one silly connection on which the entire lead hinges. I'm learning by watching your struggles on it, not to get over confident at endgame when they won't resign. Still, I do hate players who get to fairly late endgame down 30+ and won't give up......Right Payton???

At mid-Dan level of play, how in the world is a 20-point lead a "close" game? At your level, you should be good enough at estimating and counting that a 20-point lead is very comfortable, no worries. At Pro level the margin is a LOT smaller - Pros can resign when they estimate a loss of as little as 5 points.
Oh wow, self-proclaimed 6 Dan beating an Igs 4Dan with Black stones and reversed komi....must be the proudest day of your life mate! And by the way you werent winning at all, your opponend fucked up the last 50 moves thats why you got away with the win.

Those professionals you're referring to are top professionals. You'd be surprised how many are uncertain in the 5-10pt margin

It was also close in the sense that Batt got reverse komi. With standard komi, it would have been closer to a 7-point lead.
