Thank you. My husband is from a Pontian backgrounder. We know some Greek dances but our family is very pleased to he able to learn another dance from the Pontus to dance at an upcoming family wedding.
@wilwel1957 Hi Ουίλλιαμ, the song is called "κουτσή μελαχρινή"...this particular version is from siamlidis and kotidis from a live concert (the CD is called "ΜΙΘΡΙΟ ζωντανή ηχογράφηση" - but it is a song most pontian singers would sing. unfortunately the iTunes store is not up to date when it comes to pontian music, so I doubt you would be able to find it there...best bet is to order it from a Greek CD store.
That song is one of the best pontian. It is named Ρασόπουλο. If you search "pavlidis germania 5" it contains it. As for the second dance is not "Τικ" but "Μοσκόβ". The diference is that in moskov your hands stay down.
very nice. can you do a dance that fits the beas of this song Etsi Se Dextika by Elli Kokkinou i hear lots of greek songs with this slow beat. and i never know what to do when im danceing. many thanks

Hi bougalaiki, don't think there is a Pontic club although we do have a few pontians that come to our classes and we teach pontian dances as well. If you are interested visit sirtaki.co.uk and drop us an email through the contact page.
