Black darumas are for skill ups and they are extremely valuable, save them for SSR unit skill ups, or SR units if you really like the SR unit. Remember to buy them from the mall every week. White darumas are fodders, they lvl up twice as fast as normal units which makes them very good candidate for high grade shikigami foddering, lvl them up and promote them till they are 4G/5G and use them as fodder then to maximize their benefit. Red darumas are suppose to provide your units with exp, you can feed them to your shikigami to quickly lvl them them, it is most efficient to lvl them to lvl 4 then feed them for maximum efficiency, however if you are just starting out I recommend you to ignore their main purpose as exp booster, but instead use them as fodder for your shikigami bc you will need a lot for promoting units Blue darumas is like the upgrade version of red darumas, they give even more EXP, lvl them up to lv 13 before feeding them to your shikigami for efficiency. They don't come by often so you probably won't have to worry about them for some time. You can choose to use these guys are fodders, but since they actually provide a decent boost to EXP, it's is more cost efficient to use them as EXP booster. Lastly, welcome to the game :)
Beast Mode I wasn’t expecting a response so quickly this late at night, but thank you very much! I think I understand. I used to level up my Shikigami right off the bat without leveling the red daruma first. I didn’t realize that leveling the daruma makes that much of a difference. I’ll definitely remember to hold onto the black ones from now on. I used my first one on Yuki Onna for that early game advantage.
Don't stress too much about lvling red darumas to lv 4 tho, it's suppose to give you a bit more exp, but imo it's not worth the trouble of switching them in and out of battle unless you really want to go for that extra bit of exp. Good luck ;)
Orochi 9 and 10 simple tutorial: 4 yamausagis, all equipped with the fortune cat soul set (4 fortune cats), with one yamausagi of speed163+, one of speed 126-149, and two of speed 115. Use Minamoto-no-Hiromasa as the onmyoji, and his speed should be higher than 115, and equip him with his archery skills. Get one warashi-zashiki and equip her with azure basan. Then just let the yamausagis jump and jump and jump. You will find that your enemies will not be able to move, while you can just take your time and kill them. Fortune cats and warashi-zashiki give the fires needed for the yamausagis to jump. After you are through orochi 10, you will be able to get 6-star souls, which is a great advancement in this game.
I first tried getting into Onmyoji around 5 years ago but I just never could. Then every year after that I’d end up trying again but this is the first year I’ve actually stuck around for longer than the introduction and part of that is because of this guide so thank you so much ☺️

Hey, Beast. Do you think you can ever do a guide for building synergistic teams to do stuff like Demon Encounter bosses or high level Orochi (Since you have to to it solo before unlocking). So, like advice on whether you need a tank, healer, support, dps etc. Personally I have been focusing on leveling my two dps units and two support units. As I am getting higher level I realize solo content is getting a bit tougher. So, I am thinking maybe I need to get a healer and tank now.
Yea, I was planning to go there eventually, but there's so much more basics before I go there, but I suppose it makes sense to make a quick tutorial for the more advance players. Hopefully I will have time to get to that soon. For the time being, I would definitely suggest begin building good supports, either Kama or Yama, and Zashiki. From what I know, it's more effective to have 3 DPS (preferably all 6*) along with Yama/Kama, and Zash, should take care of Oro 10. Ofc the requirement is quite high. But it's is Oro10 after all and is meant for late game players :/
Shuzu is probably the most important unit for a defensive and/or counter attack deck, and it never ages even in late game. Especially when higanbana comes out in the future.
I just started the game today, and I made a huge mistake of evolving my tanuki then using him to promote my Ibaraki Douji, do you have an in-depth tutorial on souls, this tutorial actually helped me alot,but I still find the learning curve steep.

Hey, i started a while back during the Ubume event...lost interest and decided to come back! Any tips on what i should do with Ubume? I am working on the Seductress souls. Should i max her skills and the evolve?
TheRevenge456 welcome back :) Ubume works great out of the box without having skill ups so keep that in mind before spending precious skill daruma on her. I personally wouldn't mind feeding her dupes on herself tho. Definitely eco her when you have the chance. Then make her 6s you get yourself a solid DPS farmer. Also Seductress is the right way to go, so keep at it
Beast Mode oh okay cool! Just another question i am running Ubume with Zashiki and Yamausagi. Anything you recommend i should do to them or just evo as much as i can? And also which souls are good for zashiki and yamausagi?
TheRevenge456 they are great support, the only thing I can think of is you want as much as on Yamausagi as possible, and out Azure Basan and fortune cat on the two of them. Also speed tune Zashiki so she will provide orbs for the team properly, and definitely Evo them both when you can, especially Yamausagi otherwise she won't work as atk bar puller
Yea, Im gonna do builds in the future, probably on the basic units that most ppl can get their hands on, Yama ofc, being one of them. I give my Yama fortune cat set, and as much speed as possible, it's as simple as that. That build work well in PVE, but would likely not cut it in PVP, bc you will feel like everyone else has a Yama slightly faster than yours costing you the battle. But more on that later. Yama is meant to be a support role, so you can't go wrong with Fortune cat :)
The thing I struggle most with is being able to do decent damage. I have Ubume evolved and equipped with a few grade 6 souls, yet still she can hardly knock out a stage 5 orochi.
That does sound a little off, usually a decent G6 DPS like Ubume should handle Orochi 7 or 8 with ease, are you equiping her with atk bonus seductress set, with decent crit rate? If not what are you using? And the taem you are using?
Do we have to raise fodder before we feed them to other shikigami? What level should they be before you can feed them to others? I’m very confused on the whole fodder raising. Also, if we have duplicates of shikigami do we raise them before we feed to main? Ex: I have 3 Kusa. One is my main and the other two I just got. Do I raise them before I feed to main Kusa?
Yes and no, the only thing you need to care about from a fodder when you feed it to the unit you are promoting is the fodder's grade, as long as the grade fits the requirement you can use said fodder as promote material, it doesnt matter what lvl the unit is sitting at. So that means there are times when you dont need to raise the fodder at all, because you sometimes can summon a shikigami that is G4, or G3 (most times its G2,) G is short for grade. If you summong a G4 shikigami you can use the unit as fodder material directly when promoting a G4 max leveled unit to G5 without having to raise the G4 fodder at all, but if you summoned only a G2, then you will need to raise the unit from G2 to G3, then to G4 through farming, before you can use the fodder for a G4 unit promotion. TLDR: you can use a lv 1 fodder as promote material without raising it as long as their grade fits the requirement. But most of the time you will have to raise units to the appropriate grade before you can use them because their grade levels are low (like G2)
Question about the shrine in the summoning area...I have a tendency of locking at least one unit of everything and feeding the dupes to that locked unit to lvl their skills...but when do I start releasing monsters to gain those talismans for the shrine?
There's no hard set rules, when there's something you really want from the shrine I suppose (limited time units, or if you really want that white daruma), if you have accumulated dupes for some time, chances are you will not build them any time soon anyways. So you can just shrine them away and keep 1 copy. There may be future items in the shrine worth getting, like SSR which will require gold talisman and talisman. So if you not sure just yet just hang on to your units and shrine them later.

I would say don't worry too much about them, if you like lvl onmyoji you use most often to 20 first, I recommend kagura or Seimei as they are great at PVE, and are very common even in PVP. Do note a lvl 40 Seimei totem and maxed rank 60 is a stable in Orochi auto team
I am new to gaming in general. So I don't understand what DPS, fodder, farming means, could you explain. I have yoto hime, ibaraki doji, inugami, evolved Yuki onna, mouba, zashiki, ame onna, Kappa, kusa and many other shikis. Which shikis should I try to level up or evolve first? Which are DPS? Could you suggest how to use these shikis for farming and other things in the game , like which souls should I use or which combination of shikis to use etc. I am very bad at all this strategizing. Plus I have multiple copies of the same shikis so should I just feed them to skill up??? Or level up all of them.For example I have 3 inugami and 3 yamasaugi , asking this since I saw you having multiple copies of the same high level shikis. What is the best thing to do with N shikis? Should I bother leveling them up? Also I have many red and white darumas and 1 black and 1 blue darumas. So how should I use them? Should I level up them . If so then to what what level? Saurabh Banik Woot, indeed it is a long question and I will most likely not be able to answer all of them here, but I'll answer what I think is most urgent to you first. DPS refers to unit whose sole purpose is to do damage to your enemies. You will want to choose a good DPS units that will help you farm faster and efficiently. Farming refers to the repetitive battles in attempts to gain experience or in game resources (coins, souls, tickets). This game involve a lot of farming so don't worry you'll learn what it is eventually. Fodders are units you are using to advance your existing units, in this game you will raise a lot of fodders so you can feed them to the main units, whether it'd be a DPS, healer or support unit. As for choice of souls, it's all about logic. You want to use souls that provide atk bonus, crit rate, for DPS units, and HP bonus, effect hit, effect resist, for your support and heal. It's hard to say which one to use specifically due to limitations of what you can get your hands on. Ibaraki is your best bet as a DPS unit, shadow soul set is ideal for him, as you play more you will learn everything you need to know. It is definitely overwhelming to try to absorb everything at once. Take your time and try to have fun
Beast Mode most people are telling me to just focus on a balanced core of 5 shikis. Is that a good approach? Which type or which shikis should I use then as core team? I have ibaraki, evolved Yuki, inugami, mouba, yoto hime, shouza, zashiki, Kappa, kusa , choco, neko, mio, Yamausaugi,ame onna, koi, doujo ,karasu and kubinashi among others. If you want to do some PVP while building up your team, then you can aim to build 5 shikis for the purpose of PVP. I wouldn't bother with PVP too much if you are just starting out, bc it will feel like everyone else is better than you until you get a better idea of what units you need. However, it still holds true to build a G6 DPS (or damage dealer) ASAP, while you are working on that you can choose to promote your supports to G3/G4 so they can survive longer to provide support. Given the units that you have, As mention before, for choice of DPS I'd recommend Ibaraki, however Yoto Hime might be a good candidate as well. As for your core team. I'd recommend Ibaraki, Yoto Hime, Yamausagi, Shouzu, and Zashiki, there can be different combos (Yuki Onna and Inugami can be good as well) but to keep it simple, those are the units I would go for if I were you. You won't be able to defeat all your opponents with said team, but they are future proof units so you can't go wrong with building them. It's somewhat safe to use duplicate R grade units for skill ups, most N units are useless, they can have niched use but since you are starting out I won't go into that. But since R grade units come by so often, you can safely use them for skill ups. Duplicate SR units can be used for skill ups as well, but since they are rarer, I'd recommend keep a copy of atleast 2 until you get a better idea of what to do with them, for example, it might be worthwhile to keep 2 copies of Ubume or Inugami in case you want them on your team in the future, instead of fusing them. Ofc, it is largely based on your preferences. if you play for long enough they will come back to you eventually through summons. N grade units should be used as fodder for your other units, meaning you will feed them to your other units so you can promote said units. NP, I know it could be overwhelming, play long enough youll learn them all eventually :)
I need to upgrade my Shikigamis but I have very few 3 stars. I thought of leveling up red Darumas and getting them to 3 stars by doing exploration zones but that took a really long time even though I had all the exp bonuses. So I’m wondering if that’s the only way I can upgrade my Shikigamis or is there a faster way because I feel like I’m doing something wrong...(also I was farming chapter 1 hard mode)
Xprodigy X yea, most veteran players would tell you it's unnecessary and a waste of time. But yeah it's possible. Just make sure you don't bind your acct to anything till you are sure you want the acct
I'm struggling, pretty much. I heard Yuki Onna is received free but do you get her using Mystery Amulet or what? And I didn't understand the realm part. Could use a friend.
Not sure if you found the answer already but...Yuki Onna is the first shikigami you receive when you start playing the game. You can also get copies of her from Mystery Amulet Summons and Shards (Guild, Demon Parade, Encounter). Realm is kinda like a little space where you can lvl up shiki of your choice (or at least that's all I use it for). You can find it when you enter the guild icon, and at the bottom of the screen is a smaller icon that says Realm. Hope that helps some!
Any chance i can get a tutorial on how the deamon parade works? couse i cant seem to figure it out, im trowing 1x , 5x and 10x coins at them at random each ticked, and i cant seem to farm them at all, help plz.
u can get buff such slow down, quicker toss, chance increase and freeze by hitting those 2 bird siblings, chance are random but 1 certain things is that ssr are the hardest to obtain, once u get a ssr u can ask friends or guildies to donate-exchange with them
Yeah most N units are pretty useless, some have niche use, like red imp, or Akashita in some creative PVP teams. But its fairly safe to use them as fodder, as they are very easily obtainable and skill ups. You should be using most of yuor N units as fodders.
Some prefer other healers over Kusa because she's R graded and they feel like she doesnt have much potential, but as long as she works for you, you can keep building her. There are, however better alternatives out there, such as Ebisu, Sakura, or Momo, if you get your hands on anyone of them. What really determine if your healer is good is the souls you equip them with. So you can make Kusa work if you wanted to (some folks on the other server can solo Orochi 10 with Kusa)
It is totally possible to find a combo that outperforms the regular set up of Zashiki, Yamausagi, Shuzu,Samurai X... But it would require some time and testing. Most of the builds that world well are already out there. If you find something that works well with unpopular SR units, remember to share it 😁
You can lv up shikigami's skills by feeding black daruma (rare) or feeding the same unit to them. Choose wisely as Black Daruma is very valuable. Momoji can be a solid unit in farming or PVP. but I'd suggest you focus on Ubume, which I assume you would have.
My Shikigamis are in higher level but loosing fast Life-Energy, and I think they are not attacking very strong Its maybe because I don’t do alot of soul feeding?
Yes, early on, your Shikigami will gain more stats and advantage by promoting, by as you progress in game, souls will become increasingly more important, so definitely lvl up souls that you think are worthwhile.
Releasing shikigami will give you Talisman/Gold Talisman (if you released SSR,) which you can then later use for exchanging for the items in the shrine. Use this feature wisely and don't get rid of SR units with great potential.

There's something called the Frozen Time method that allows you the beat S10 without having a solid team, the method requires multiple evo Yama, sort of like a short cut to pass Orochi 10 without having enough good units to do so, I plan on making a video about it later, but as of right now if you are interested, check out zaff's channel he talked about it.

Ive only done maybe 7 summons with jade and ive got 3 ssr and at least 40 with mystery amulets and have got none probably not the same luck as everyone else but i wouldn't totally discourage jade summons just my opinion no hater on your video tho awesome info

They are the harder stats to come by, and definitely more useful on some units than others, spd can be countered by tank/counter teams, I wouldn't call them Meta but definitely more valuable than the other stats, to nitpick a little here, meta would prolly be CRIT DAMAGE, along with Crit as substat.
I just started playing and I pulled yoto hime can anyone tell me what shikigami I should build with her? Fyi I also pulled ebisu and karma something the purple dude
Yoto Hime works best with Seductress soul set, use Claw if you dont have good seductress set yet, you can pair Yoto hime with a good AOE unit like Ubume, Kuro Mujou, Inugami, or any good SSR AOE units. Ebisu is an amazing healer, definitely build him when you have the time, Kamaitachi (the purple dude) is great too, but will need skill ups which you can farm in Ch 18, so build him later and use Yamausagi as atk bar puller for now.
ronald perez it sounds like you are on the Japanese server, simplest way to make sure you have the English version is by downloading the Onmyoji app from play store (not sure how iTunes work) you want to make sure the app just says Onmyoji and there was no Chinese or Japanese words after it.
One question man, i currently own, Ubume evolved, Yuki Evolved, Inugami, Shishio, Kuro Mujou, Kamitachi, Shuten Doji, Zashiki evolved, Kusa and Youko but my question is who should i evolve next? Currently my team is just Ubume, Kuro and Inugami but should i change it how should i set up my team?
Woot, I almost missed your question, seems like you have a pretty solid team, but I don't see Yamausagi anywhere, that's usually what I recommend ppl to put in their team but Kamaitachi works just as well if not better, but the problem with that is his signature move wont work until you give him a few skill ups so he can learn how to pull atk bar. So I'd suggest you aim for that. Skill up your kamaitachi, then evo him. If you are really need that sweet pleasure from evolving a unit, Kusa might be your next best candidate, she's a good budget healer for early gamers. But since she's a budget healer, you will likely replace her the second you get a good healer. The third unconventional option would just be to improve on your existing team, bc evolving too many units might be overkill/unncessary. But really, I highly suggest you get a Yamausagi (mountain rabbit,) or skill up that Kamaitachi. Good luck!
Beast Mode how exactly can i get her without summoning her? also because i had the extra resources i evolved kusa and kuro mujou because i really like them my kusa heals almost 600 per heals now and thats when everyones health bar is only slightly damaged also i like kuro mujou passive thats why i ended up evolving him
John Le sry for the late reply. But it is exactly as mystic aura had described. It shouldn't be hard to obtain a copy for an R grade unit. And Kuro Mujou definitely has the potential to be a great support.in PVP and farmer in PVE. Good luck with that!
Ahh yes that one is a little unclear in game. Basically what you do is you need to go to your realm after you have joined a guild, and collect the experience you have received either through your own kekkai card or your friends kekkai card. In the video at 11:27, on top of the promote and realm card pole, there is an EXP sign and a chest icon, selecting either one of those will get you the realm experience you have accumulated.
I'm level 20 already and still have shitty shikigamis lol, this game is fun but requires so much commintment to it, and it's so much luck based, I don't really pull good shikigami and get own on any PvP areas by low levers, seems about right

Download steam and install Onmyoji from there, use Facebook gameroom and install Onmyoji, or just use an Android emulator then install Onmyoji (note we dont know where the game company stand on using emulators tho, so I'd stick with Stream and Facebook Gameroom)
You can shrine/release R grade units at the shrine, which can be accessed via the summon screen toward the right hand corner, I wouldn't suggest you to shrine R units though as their main purpose is to be fodders for promoting your other units.
Sorry I didn't get into those bc including those information would make the video too long, and I assumed ppl have some prior knowledge on games like these as they are fairly similar across all games that involve grind/farming. Can you tell me what you are looking for, maybe I can answer you here or make another video for people who are completely new to gaming. Btw, SSR, SR, R, and N refers to the rarity of units in this game, usually the more rare, the more powerful the units, though that's not necessarily always the case as some R grade units are extremely useful.In the order of rarity SSR > SR > R > N. Farming is kind a gaming jargon, it refers to the repeating process of doing something in hopes of gaining something else, when I say farming for experience, it means Im constantly battling so my units can gain experience, if I say farming for souls, it means Im battling the same stage/boss over and over again to gain souls (an item in game which you can equip to your units to make them more powerful) Let me know if you have any other question.
Beast Mode shikigami, i already evolve 1 shikigami yuki ona, now i want to evolve for second shikigami inugami, i farm at evo zone many times, but still my material all zero, i dont understand how to get material, did i miss something?
nob manson hmm did you make sure you are farming at the correct element? Which eco stage are you farming and also which shikigami are you trying to evolve? Farming at a higher difficulties help with the drop rate of rarer evo mats. And you want to make sure you are farming the right elements.
I dont have any friends because they are poor or dont play mobile games... I can only befriend old people who dont even know how to check their emails... sadly...
I have yoto hime, evo yuki onna, evo mio, inugami, momiji, kusa, kuro mujou, zashiki, puppeteer, yamausagi.. But i have no idea who should i focusing on evolving it.. And can i just focused on shikigami without getting more exp on onmyoji? My lvl is getting higher but not my shikigami :(
In the order of importance Inugami (your better AOE attacker as farmer, you will use him as farmer and possibly in PVP) Yoto Hime (great single DPS attacker) Zashiki, Yamausagi, the rests are up to you, Yuki Onna is more crowd control and doesnt work as great as a farmer. It is quite common to have this problem. You can lvl up your Shikigami without your Onmyoji lvling up by joining in co op teams (some examples are Kraken, EXP spirits), it's when other players host a game and they use their Onmyoji as part of the team, you will have no option but to use your own units, thereby only your units will gain EXP but not your Onmyoji, the down side to this, it's quite energy intensive and time consuming in my opinion, It's so troublesome you may be better off building up your own team and try to make the most out of it. Calvin Hisoka whatevr works for you, if you are still interested in the GL version though, you can try and download the Onmyoji apk directly and go from there, if you are using Android that is.

Orochi 9 and 10 simple tutorial: 4 yamausagis, all equipped with the fortune cat soul set (4 fortune cats), with one yamausagi of speed163+, one of speed 126-149, and two of speed 115. Use Minamoto-no-Hiromasa as the onmyoji, and his speed should be higher than 115, and equip him with his archery skills. Get one warashi-zashiki and equip her with azure basan. Then just let the yamausagis jump and jump and jump. You will find that your enemies will not be able to move, while you can just take your time and kill them. Hey, Beast. Do you think you can ever do a guide for building synergistic teams to do stuff like Demon Encounter bosses or high level Orochi (Since you have to to it solo before unlocking). So, like advice on whether you need a tank, healer, support, dps etc. Personally I have been focusing on leveling my two dps units and two support units. As I am getting higher level I realize solo content is getting a bit tougher. So, I am thinking maybe I need to get a healer and tank now.
Yea, I was planning to go there eventually, but there's so much more basics before I go there, but I suppose it makes sense to make a quick tutorial for the more advance players. Hopefully I will have time to get to that soon. For the time being, I would definitely suggest begin building good supports, either Kama or Yama, and Zashiki. From what I know, it's more effective to have 3 DPS (preferably all 6*) along with Yama/Kama, and Zash, should take care of Oro 10. Ofc the requirement is quite high. But it's is Oro10 after all and is meant for late game players :/

Shuzu is probably the most important unit for a defensive and/or counter attack deck, and it never ages even in late game. Especially when higanbana comes out in the future.

Hey, i started a while back during the Ubume event...lost interest and decided to come back! Any tips on what i should do with Ubume? I am working on the Seductress souls. Should i max her skills and the evolve?
TheRevenge456 welcome back :) Ubume works great out of the box without having skill ups so keep that in mind before spending precious skill daruma on her. I personally wouldn't mind feeding her dupes on herself tho. Definitely eco her when you have the chance. Then make her 6s you get yourself a solid DPS farmer. Also Seductress is the right way to go, so keep at it

TheRevenge456 they are great support, the only thing I can think of is you want as much as on Yamausagi as possible, and out Azure Basan and fortune cat on the two of them. Also speed tune Zashiki so she will provide orbs for the team properly, and definitely Evo them both when you can, especially Yamausagi otherwise she won't work as atk bar puller

Yea, Im gonna do builds in the future, probably on the basic units that most ppl can get their hands on, Yama ofc, being one of them. I give my Yama fortune cat set, and as much speed as possible, it's as simple as that. That build work well in PVE, but would likely not cut it in PVP, bc you will feel like everyone else has a Yama slightly faster than yours costing you the battle. But more on that later. Yama is meant to be a support role, so you can't go wrong with Fortune cat :)
The thing I struggle most with is being able to do decent damage. I have Ubume evolved and equipped with a few grade 6 souls, yet still she can hardly knock out a stage 5 orochi.
That does sound a little off, usually a decent G6 DPS like Ubume should handle Orochi 7 or 8 with ease, are you equiping her with atk bonus seductress set, with decent crit rate? If not what are you using? And the taem you are using?

Do we have to raise fodder before we feed them to other shikigami? What level should they be before you can feed them to others? I’m very confused on the whole fodder raising. Also, if we have duplicates of shikigami do we raise them before we feed to main? Ex: I have 3 Kusa. One is my main and the other two I just got. Do I raise them before I feed to main Kusa?
Yes and no, the only thing you need to care about from a fodder when you feed it to the unit you are promoting is the fodder's grade, as long as the grade fits the requirement you can use said fodder as promote material, it doesnt matter what lvl the unit is sitting at.
So that means there are times when you dont need to raise the fodder at all, because you sometimes can summon a shikigami that is G4, or G3 (most times its G2,) G is short for grade. If you summong a G4 shikigami you can use the unit as fodder material directly when promoting a G4 max leveled unit to G5 without having to raise the G4 fodder at all, but if you summoned only a G2, then you will need to raise the unit from G2 to G3, then to G4 through farming, before you can use the fodder for a G4 unit promotion.
TLDR: you can use a lv 1 fodder as promote material without raising it as long as their grade fits the requirement. But most of the time you will have to raise units to the appropriate grade before you can use them because their grade levels are low (like G2)
Question about the shrine in the summoning area...I have a tendency of locking at least one unit of everything and feeding the dupes to that locked unit to lvl their skills...but when do I start releasing monsters to gain those talismans for the shrine?
There's no hard set rules, when there's something you really want from the shrine I suppose (limited time units, or if you really want that white daruma), if you have accumulated dupes for some time, chances are you will not build them any time soon anyways. So you can just shrine them away and keep 1 copy. There may be future items in the shrine worth getting, like SSR which will require gold talisman and talisman. So if you not sure just yet just hang on to your units and shrine them later.

I would say don't worry too much about them, if you like lvl onmyoji you use most often to 20 first, I recommend kagura or Seimei as they are great at PVE, and are very common even in PVP. Do note a lvl 40 Seimei totem and maxed rank 60 is a stable in Orochi auto team

I am new to gaming in general. So I don't understand what DPS, fodder, farming means, could you explain. I have yoto hime, ibaraki doji, inugami, evolved Yuki onna, mouba, zashiki, ame onna, Kappa, kusa and many other shikis. Which shikis should I try to level up or evolve first? Which are DPS?
Could you suggest how to use these shikis for farming and other things in the game , like which souls should I use or which combination of shikis to use etc.
I am very bad at all this strategizing.
Plus I have multiple copies of the same shikis so should I just feed them to skill up??? Saurabh Banik Woot, indeed it is a long question and I will most likely not be able to answer all of them here, but I'll answer what I think is most urgent to you first.
DPS refers to unit whose sole purpose is to do damage to your enemies. You will want to choose a good DPS units that will help you farm faster and efficiently.
Farming refers to the repetitive battles in attempts to gain experience or in game resources (coins, souls, tickets). This game involve a lot of farming so don't worry you'll learn what it is eventually.
Fodders are units you are using to advance your existing units, in this game you will raise a lot of fodders so you can feed them to the main units, whether it'd be a DPS, healer or support unit.
As for choice of souls, it's all about logic. You want to use souls that provide atk bonus, crit rate, for DPS units, and HP bonus, effect hit, effect resist, for your support and heal. It's hard to say which one to use specifically due to limitations of what you can get your hands on.
Ibaraki is your best bet as a DPS unit, shadow soul set is ideal for him, as you play more you will learn everything you need to know. It is definitely overwhelming to try to absorb everything at once. Take your time and try to have fun

If you want to do some PVP while building up your team, then you can aim to build 5 shikis for the purpose of PVP. I wouldn't bother with PVP too much if you are just starting out, bc it will feel like everyone else is better than you until you get a better idea of what units you need. However, it still holds true to build a G6 DPS (or damage dealer) ASAP, while you are working on that you can choose to promote your supports to G3/G4 so they can survive longer to provide support.
Given the units that you have, As mention before, for choice of DPS I'd recommend Ibaraki, however Yoto Hime might be a good candidate as well. As for your core team. I'd recommend Ibaraki, Yoto Hime, Yamausagi, Shouzu, and Zashiki, there can be different combos (Yuki Onna and Inugami can be good as well) but to keep it simple, those are the units I would go for if I were you. You won't be able to defeat all your opponents with said team, but they are future proof units so you can't go wrong with building them.
It's somewhat safe to use duplicate R grade units for skill ups, most N units are useless, they can have niched use but since you are starting out I won't go into that. But since R grade units come by so often, you can safely use them for skill ups. Duplicate SR units can be used for skill ups as well, but since they are rarer, I'd recommend keep a copy of atleast 2 until you get a better idea of what to do with them, for example, it might be worthwhile to keep 2 copies of Ubume or Inugami in case you want them on your team in the future, instead of fusing them. Ofc, it is largely based on your preferences. if you play for long enough they will come back to you eventually through summons.
N grade units should be used as fodder for your other units, meaning you will feed them to your other units so you can promote said units.
NP, I know it could be overwhelming, play long enough youll learn them all eventually :)

I need to upgrade my Shikigamis but I have very few 3 stars. I thought of leveling up red Darumas and getting them to 3 stars by doing exploration zones but that took a really long time even though I had all the exp bonuses. So I’m wondering if that’s the only way I can upgrade my Shikigamis or is there a faster way because I feel like I’m doing something wrong...(also I was farming chapter 1 hard mode)

Not sure if you found the answer already but...Yuki Onna is the first shikigami you receive when you start playing the game. You can also get copies of her from Mystery Amulet Summons and Shards (Guild, Demon Parade, Encounter).
Realm is kinda like a little space where you can lvl up shiki of your choice (or at least that's all I use it for). You can find it when you enter the guild icon, and at the bottom of the screen is a smaller icon that says Realm.

u can get buff such slow down, quicker toss, chance increase and freeze by hitting those 2 bird siblings, chance are random but 1 certain things is that ssr are the hardest to obtain, once u get a ssr u can ask friends or guildies to donate-exchange with them

Yeah most N units are pretty useless, some have niche use, like red imp, or Akashita in some creative PVP teams. But its fairly safe to use them as fodder, as they are very easily obtainable and skill ups. You should be using most of yuor N units as fodders.

I make Kusa as my main healer and have upgraded her to grade 4. should I keep investing in Kusa or switch healer ....?
Some prefer other healers over Kusa because she's R graded and they feel like she doesnt have much potential, but as long as she works for you, you can keep building her. There are, however better alternatives out there, such as Ebisu, Sakura, or Momo, if you get your hands on anyone of them. What really determine if your healer is good is the souls you equip them with. So you can make Kusa work if you wanted to (some folks on the other server can solo Orochi 10 with Kusa)
One question: is it better to use some none-meta SR unites (Such as Hangan or Puppeteer) than recommend R grade unites (Yamausagi and samurai X)?
Just to note I had used my starting evo material to evolve Hangan
It is totally possible to find a combo that outperforms the regular set up of Zashiki, Yamausagi, Shuzu,Samurai X... But it would require some time and testing. Most of the builds that world well are already out there. If you find something that works well with unpopular SR units, remember to share it 😁

You can lv up shikigami's skills by feeding black daruma (rare) or feeding the same unit to them. Choose wisely as Black Daruma is very valuable. Momoji can be a solid unit in farming or PVP. but I'd suggest you focus on Ubume, which I assume you would have.

Yes, early on, your Shikigami will gain more stats and advantage by promoting, by as you progress in game, souls will become increasingly more important, so definitely lvl up souls that you think are worthwhile.

What About Releasing shikigami? What does it do?
Releasing shikigami will give you Talisman/Gold Talisman (if you released SSR,) which you can then later use for exchanging for the items in the shrine. Use this feature wisely and don't get rid of SR units with great potential.

Why did you evolve more than one Yamausagi?
There's something called the Frozen Time method that allows you the beat S10 without having a solid team, the method requires multiple evo Yama, sort of like a short cut to pass Orochi 10 without having enough good units to do so, I plan on making a video about it later, but as of right now if you are interested, check out zaff's channel he talked about it.
Also why did you max level duplicate shikigamis? Is there a reason? why not use them to level up skills

Ive only done maybe 7 summons with jade and ive got 3 ssr and at least 40 with mystery amulets and have got none probably not the same luck as everyone else but i wouldn't totally discourage jade summons just my opinion no hater on your video tho awesome info

They are the harder stats to come by, and definitely more useful on some units than others, spd can be countered by tank/counter teams, I wouldn't call them Meta but definitely more valuable than the other stats, to nitpick a little here, meta would prolly be CRIT DAMAGE, along with Crit as substat.

Yoto Hime works best with Seductress soul set, use Claw if you dont have good seductress set yet, you can pair Yoto hime with a good AOE unit like Ubume, Kuro Mujou, Inugami, or any good SSR AOE units. Ebisu is an amazing healer, definitely build him when you have the time, Kamaitachi (the purple dude) is great too, but will need skill ups which you can farm in Ch 18, so build him later and use Yamausagi as atk bar puller for now.

ronald perez it sounds like you are on the Japanese server, simplest way to make sure you have the English version is by downloading the Onmyoji app from play store (not sure how iTunes work) you want to make sure the app just says Onmyoji and there was no Chinese or Japanese words after it.
One question man, i currently own, Ubume evolved, Yuki Evolved, Inugami, Shishio, Kuro Mujou, Kamitachi, Shuten Doji, Zashiki evolved, Kusa and Youko but my question is who should i evolve next? Currently my team is just Ubume, Kuro and Inugami but should i change it how should i set up my team?
Woot, I almost missed your question, seems like you have a pretty solid team, but I don't see Yamausagi anywhere, that's usually what I recommend ppl to put in their team but Kamaitachi works just as well if not better, but the problem with that is his signature move wont work until you give him a few skill ups so he can learn how to pull atk bar. So I'd suggest you aim for that. Skill up your kamaitachi, then evo him. If you are really need that sweet pleasure from evolving a unit, Kusa might be your next best candidate, she's a good budget healer for early gamers. But since she's a budget healer, you will likely replace her the second you get a good healer. The third unconventional option would just be to improve on your existing team, bc evolving too many units might be overkill/unncessary. But really, I highly suggest you get a Yamausagi (mountain rabbit,) or skill up that Kamaitachi. Good luck!
Beast Mode how exactly can i get her without summoning her? also because i had the extra resources i evolved kusa and kuro mujou because i really like them my kusa heals almost 600 per heals now and thats when everyones health bar is only slightly damaged also i like kuro mujou passive thats why i ended up evolving him
without summoning you can get her through shards, from the guild, demon parade and random encounters and with bounties
John Le sry for the late reply. But it is exactly as mystic aura had described. It shouldn't be hard to obtain a copy for an R grade unit. And Kuro Mujou definitely has the potential to be a great support.in PVP and farmer in PVE. Good luck with that!
How to complete daily , "get realm exp"?
Ahh yes that one is a little unclear in game.
Basically what you do is you need to go to your realm after you have joined a guild, and collect the experience you have received either through your own kekkai card or your friends kekkai card.
In the video at 11:27, on top of the promote and realm card pole, there is an EXP sign and a chest icon, selecting either one of those will get you the realm experience you have accumulated.
You know that know that bit above your 'Promote' thing in your realm after u enter a guild? Click that if it says 'Exp'.

Download steam and install Onmyoji from there, use Facebook gameroom and install Onmyoji, or just use an Android emulator then install Onmyoji (note we dont know where the game company stand on using emulators tho, so I'd stick with Stream and Facebook Gameroom)

You can shrine/release R grade units at the shrine, which can be accessed via the summon screen toward the right hand corner, I wouldn't suggest you to shrine R units though as their main purpose is to be fodders for promoting your other units.

Sorry I didn't get into those bc including those information would make the video too long, and I assumed ppl have some prior knowledge on games like these as they are fairly similar across all games that involve grind/farming. Can you tell me what you are looking for, maybe I can answer you here or make another video for people who are completely new to gaming.
Btw, SSR, SR, R, and N refers to the rarity of units in this game, usually the more rare, the more powerful the units, though that's not necessarily always the case as some R grade units are extremely useful.In the order of rarity SSR > SR > R > N.
Farming is kind a gaming jargon, it refers to the repeating process of doing something in hopes of gaining something else, when I say farming for experience, it means Im constantly battling so my units can gain experience, if I say farming for souls, it means Im battling the same stage/boss over and over again to gain souls (an item in game which you can equip to your units to make them more powerful)

Beast Mode shikigami, i already evolve 1 shikigami yuki ona, now i want to evolve for second shikigami inugami, i farm at evo zone many times, but still my material all zero, i dont understand how to get material, did i miss something?
nob manson hmm did you make sure you are farming at the correct element? Which eco stage are you farming and also which shikigami are you trying to evolve? Farming at a higher difficulties help with the drop rate of rarer evo mats. And you want to make sure you are farming the right elements.

I have yoto hime, evo yuki onna, evo mio, inugami, momiji, kusa, kuro mujou, zashiki, puppeteer, yamausagi.. But i have no idea who should i focusing on evolving it.. And can i just focused on shikigami without getting more exp on onmyoji? My lvl is getting higher but not my shikigami :(
In the order of importance Inugami (your better AOE attacker as farmer, you will use him as farmer and possibly in PVP) Yoto Hime (great single DPS attacker) Zashiki, Yamausagi, the rests are up to you, Yuki Onna is more crowd control and doesnt work as great as a farmer.
It is quite common to have this problem. You can lvl up your Shikigami without your Onmyoji lvling up by joining in co op teams (some examples are Kraken, EXP spirits), it's when other players host a game and they use their Onmyoji as part of the team, you will have no option but to use your own units, thereby only your units will gain EXP but not your Onmyoji, the down side to this, it's quite energy intensive and time consuming in my opinion, It's so troublesome you may be better off building up your own team and try to make the most out of it.

Calvin Hisoka whatevr works for you, if you are still interested in the GL version though, you can try and download the Onmyoji apk directly and go from there, if you are using Android that is.
yea but the GL version wont install on my android phone. i dont know why
Calvin Hisoka hmmm maybe the apk file is broken, try downloading a new one. Or if you like go straight for the PC version, the graphics is smoother anyways. FB game room is free, Steam is not but there's no restriction on gameplay
