    Thanks for watching! What questions do you have about Google Optimize or A/B tests?

    • @kelindrawn
      @kelindrawn 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In your example, would testing the expanded navigation with and without the searchbar be the next probable step? Because you don't yet know if the expanded navigation including the search bar is the best overall design, right?

    • @uxtools
      @uxtools  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kelindrawn Great question! That exact thing was actually tested by Optimize in the multivariate test: it included a test with just the expanded nav, and another test with the expanded nav plus the search bar. So those two things were pitted against each other in the multivariate test, and the expanded nav + search bar ended up winning! That's the benefit of multivariate tests - you can test a combination of multiple things all at once.

      Hello, Thank you for this video, its supper helpful. Would you mind telling us more about how to set up the goals for A/B testing and who is usually in charge of running and setting up the test is it product designers, product managers or UX researchers?

    • @uxtools
      @uxtools  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bassmavanlue4709 Hi Bassma, the goals are completely dependent on your product and team. Usually you're testing between two alternative designs. Who sets up and runs the test is also up to your team. It can be any of the ones you listed - designer, product manager, or researcher. So unfortunately the answer is it depends!

    Superb job. Clearest explanation of Google's most confusing tool which is otherwise impossible to figure out from their UI.

    Thank you for the very clear guide! Haven't been using Google Optimize before, with this guide it does't look very complicated.

    A/B testing is a good method to validate design decisions and figure out what works best for a company or brand. Of course, if the proper tool is employed, it can be beneficial. It performs extremely well in all metric measurements, including WASK A/B. Give it a chance!

    I didn't really understand the multivariate one. It combines what with what? :D

    • @uxtools
      @uxtools  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In a multivariate test, we're testing multiple variants simultaneously (instead of just one variant like we do in an A/B test). So Optimize puts all the variants together in different ways and figures out which combination works best. Here's some more info, with an example: support.google.com/optimize/answer/6370723?hl=en
