Looks pretty good. The grain on the body and on the neck look nice enough that I think it would be a shame to fully cover it with an opaque paint finish. Either a clear or tent of color I believe would look real good. Maybe a red or amber tent even though I don't care for red it really would go better the color of the wood.
I did one of these with a black guard and I painted it hunter green. I installed Guyker locking tuners and GFS solderless pups. It looks and plays and sounds killer. I am doing a big jazz box L-5 kit next. Good quality stuff from Pango so far.
heya Bill, I bought a kit after watching your last flying V build, great kit bit I did have an issue with the nut being too high and not seated properly....nothing that a bit of tinkering couldnt fix.....I went with a 58 flying V vibe on mine and had a go at relicing the hardware.....turned out really well, thanks for the vids
It is very common (and in fact preferred) for the nut to be too high. So much easier to file the slots a bit rather than cutting and installing a new nut in the event it’s too low. Glad my videos have been even the smallest bit helpful!
Ive been wanting to see a build on this specific kit, so I'm excited to see you do one. If I end up getting one, I think I'll do a cherry finish like you see on SGs. It'd be hard to beat when you throw on that gold hardware!
That would really look cool with a figured top. I have a Pango LP Custom kit with a flame maple top that I am planning on doing in a transparent black.

a Cherry finish might be an option.

Hunters Green is a killer colour
@@billsguitargarage It looks great with the gold hardware.

If you decide to get the kit, let me know and I can forward your name up to Pango music and they can give you a discount.
Glad I found this channel....WAY COOL
Thanks, glad you enjoy the video.
A Red flying V could be sick! can't wait to see how this turns out.
I am considering a candy red.... I think that would be killer with the gold hardware
Pango definitely picked a great luthier to sponsor!!! Have you thought about trying one of their custom kits you can design?
Yes, that is something I have started to think about.
See through black would look awesome.

Good for you Bill. I'm happy for you brother!✌️&💙
Many thanks Todd.
Nice kit. Cannot wait to see what you do with it.
It will be a fun build for sure.
Looks great! I will make a small suggestion: sparkling green top, natural back and sides.
Peace and long life! 🖖
Definitely a colour combination to consider. Metallic Green is one of my favorite colours.
Would love to see a red V as well.
Actually, Red was my first though with the gold hardware, sort of an Iron Man theme.
@@billsguitargarage heck yeah
Looks like a decent kit.
Yep, solid kit and hardware.
