Makes me smile, My Great-Grandmother was a Bokor and she was Ghanan and Nigerian, and despite knowing I didn’t speak it well I would always run to her house and she would go “There’s my little JoyBoy!” She was from Louisiana originally and she practiced The Vodou/Catholicism faith with heavy ties to both sides as she did not want to feel like she was betraying her family.

I cannot understand you people. No hate or Something but Pete is low af. His lyrics not only are hard to understand but doesn't make a lot of sense. The guy is in his own movie, it sounds nice because of Rustage and Stupedium, but this Pete guy is a wannabe Dizzy8 from my perspective. The verse can make sense only for people who didn't paid enough atention at One Piece. There is no team between Luffy and JoyBoy, Luffy is just carrying JoyBoy's will. And is not a paralel drawed to this, because is not a comparation. He actually beleive that luffy and JoyBoy are the same, JoyBoy transcending by spirit through Nika-Nika no mi, and taking luffy's body.
