    This ultra black version would better fit in my opinion to a thinner model, this would give her a more elegant style

      @JohnDavidHays ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. Thinner. I’m getting into a phase here where I am looking for thinner and caliber. A very interesting and appealing watch, but better as a thinner dress watch? Also, the NH35A movement and variants are now synonymous to me with Chinese Pagani Design watches. The thickness and the caliber put me off this very affordable and intriguing watch.

    I don't think the superblack application makes sense there. The crystal itself reflects more light than regular black.

    It's beautiful, but it reminds me of the amoled display on my smartwatch 😅

    Citizen Chronomaster has the most insane AR coating I ever saw in my life and this Redentore needs that very high quality ar coating just to emphasize that dial even more!

    • @lefroy1
      @lefroy1 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. Skimping on AR rather defeats this dial's purpose.

  • @icychap
    @icychap ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I love the ultrablack dial, but agree the case is problematic - the crown guards are out of place and it is entirely too thick. This dial belongs on a thin, elegant dress piece with high polish (to contrast the dial) and scaled down dimensions. Thanks for sharing (and for using my images!).

  • @pzwolski
    @pzwolski ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Good watch for a vampire, as it absorbs the light. 😁

  • @benjaminvis
    @benjaminvis ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It is very big and thick. I don't mind the elaborateness so much, but think this has the hallmarks of an elegant dress watch, which is then denied by the dimensions of the case. I do appreciate the details of the case, because this contrasts with the dial where there is little going on. Not sure it has the right crystal either. And talking about the crystal, isn't this one instance where it absolutely had got to be two dozen times coated underneath and on top of the crystal to ever experience that special paint's lack of light? I mean, it surely looks black to me and I appreciate a screen cannot convey 'true' lack of light, but logic dictates that any slightly reflective material on top of a surface without light reflection, negates the effect of the latter. Am I wrong about that?

  • @heiner71
    @heiner71 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Way to big for this kind of watch. 36-38mm and 10mm thick would look much more elegant.

  • @pierremartin9048
    @pierremartin9048 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Agreed, thinner and smaller with no crown guards and it’s a knock out value.

  • @MM-wd6ud

    What an awesome watch but I wish they would add hour markers, numbers or Roman numerals otherwise it looks too much like a Movado.

    100% agree, this would be a stunner in a slim case. A high-beat Miyota from the 9-series would be great for that.

  • @noelbattere1548
    @noelbattere1548 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hi Tim. When working with paints, the perfect black would be the sum of all the infinite colors. When working with light, the perfect black would be the total absence of light. Nature is weird. This almost-true-black watch is interesting, but I wonder how much more the black on the dial would stand out if the watch had a brown leather strap like the ones you make. Regards from Chile!

    Mont Blanc is all over the place on their watches, not a watch you buy from an AD, if you like the watch and there are some nice pieces and can score one at a good price on the aftermarket where you will take very little if any hit. Go for it.

    Be wary when dealing with Venezianico. Tried to cancel a pre-order within my consumer rights and faced unnecessary resistance and they are refusing to cancel it. It's the worst customer service experience I've had to date, and I'm not alone in this. I'd urge caution to anyone considering a purchase from this brand. #CustomerRightsMatter

  • @WatchMatt
    @WatchMatt ปีที่แล้ว

    500 euros is not affordable for an NH35 powered watch, they really should have opted for a 9 series Miyota and made the case slimmer. And having a ghost date at this price is unacceptable. The design is also quite confusing. The dial would be perfect for a dress watch. Yet the dimensions and the insistence on having crowd guards positions it as an everyday watch, which it most certainly isn't. Make it slimmer, make it smaller, drop the crown guards, update the movement and then we're talking. Would also love to see a rectangular watch with this dial! Also maybe drop the seconds hand while you're at it.

    Interesting technology but a pretty useless watch, correct twice a day, at least the nh35 inaccuracy won't be a problem.

    The black dial on the Citizen 0040 is the darkest dial I've every seen.
    It's completely black. Dark, deep black.

    I saw in the Bold Hairspring review of this, Venezianico also offer it on a bracelet. That is a much better pairing IMO given the chunky nature of the case, it's a pity they didn't include one for your review.

    With so much reflections from the crystal I think the super black dial is pointless.

  • @H0kram
    @H0kram ปีที่แล้ว +1

    They can go 50M WR for such a dress watch, and make it thinner.
    It would benefit it far more than the current 100M WR I believe. NH35 is already not so thin. Overall the case just doesn't work well with the excellent dial.

  • @willwetherington
    @willwetherington ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The NH35 is a good movement. But, that's why they can sell it for $400. All of their costs went into that ultra back paint. I love it. I thinks it's dope!

    NH35 movement cost= 50eur, Dial=400 eur, Case+Bracelet=50 eur. think its a bit expensive for what you get. Tottally agree with your review on the case. Another nice review.

      @@IDKline I was joking about the dial price, but i guarantee you about the rest. i just made a Watch last week for 150eur with this same movement. Im sure that paint isnt cheap but come on... i wouldnt pay more than 300 for this one.

    Ok I like it, but really, this watch is a kind of hybrid. It really is a sport casual watch, but with a very elegant dial and set of hands. For me the Movado museum is very black, also the Rolex Explorer. I would love to compare this watch to them and of course the Moser vantablack. But for the price this is a fantastic sport casual black dial watch with dauphine hands and that cross looks very cool.

  • @michaelbedford8017
    @michaelbedford8017 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    This is where the concept's wheels fall off.
    To begin with, the crystal is going to compromise the whole thing. The perfect solution would be to have no crystal at all, and the dial and hands protected by some sort of 'force field'.
    Secondly, buying a strap might be a bit tricky, as a normal 'jet-black' leather strap will look like a MardiGras carnival next to it.

    Would be nice to compare this watch with a Movado Museum which I think is the most well known watch of this style. To me this watch is too big
