    I planted these a couple years back. They fruited so late in the season that i threw them away. This year i started the seeds in January hoping that they fruit earlier. Thanks for your video. Helps me know where to put it in my garden. This year they'll be in full texas sun.

      They do take quite a long time to ripen! Good call starting them a bit earlier. I think they'll do great for you this year. Enjoy!

    Thanks brother, I haven't grown these yet. I'll order seeds asap. Got around 80 peppers sprouted so far. Super excited about this growing season.

    I’m growing these for the first time, too, this year. I also ordered the seeds from Baker Creek. Was intrigued by their description of sweet/hot & I believe they mentioned tropical flavors. Coincidentally, there was another fellow who reviewed this pepper on his TH-cam channel that I came across earlier today. He said pretty much the same thing as you are saying 👌. He concluded that it was not any hotter than a milder jalapeño. So, I’m “doubly” anxious to get mine grown & ready to harvest. Thanks for this review.

      How cool! I think you'll really enjoy them. The pickled peppers we made with these were incredible. I highly recommend pickling some! We made a few batches of salsa which was really good too but the pickles were amazing. Good luck with your harvest!

      I've grown these for four or five years hydroponically. Definitely my favorite pepper. Very heavy producer. Fourty to sixty peppers per plant. Heat level is about like a good Jalapeno.

      That's a great idea! I need to get better at storing and preparing the harvest. I seem to always end up wasting peppers at the end of the season. I will try drying peppers next season. Thanks again!

    Is it hotter than Jalapeno pepper?

    • @inchwormgardens
      @inchwormgardens  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there! I found this from Pepper Geek: "Though we cannot find an official Scoville rating for Sugar Rush Peach peppers, we are confident that they fall around the 50,000-100,000 SHU level. This puts the Sugar Rush Peach Scoville rating between Jalapeno and Habanero peppers"
      So it is a bit hotter than a Jalapeno!

      These take quite a long time to ripen. I don't remember exactly how long these took but the average for this subspecies (Capsicum Baccatum) is 110 days.
