Radar alone is fine, it's an objective that can easily be soloed while the rest of the team does something else.... well maybe not this team in the video though, lol.
Nothing to be ashamed off when you drop in on 3 patrols, instant 3 dropship reinforcement, 2 tanks, 5 hulks, 10 rocket devastators hiding in the hills and a small army of other stuff. Literally every 3rd game
I dropped into my first lv8 the other night and about half-way through the mission I realized I had no idea what the objectives were or where we were going because all my concentration was being used just to keep up with the squad and stay alive.
I actually regularily take both supply and jetpack. I'll call down supply on objectives to use to refill my friends autocannons/RR etc and use the jetpack the rest of the time for mobility.
I love the detail at 00:27 where that dudes stratagem got denied because the veteran has already thrown a supply stratagem a moment earlier, so he's stuck with the animation but throws nothing :D
Props on the devs for actually making you capable of swimming tho.... shame that your gear is so heavy that you can only keep yourself afloat for long enough to ensure you cant make it back to shore.
There is something very satisfying about helping out new divers that are helpless. I was once paired with the perfect team we 100% cleared level 6 quickly, they ramped the difficulty to level 9 Hell diver and basically carried me to victory. This made me the rank 36 dead weight but worth it.
as someone that was a total noob at the beginning and now basically a Pro running around doing everything, this was HILARIOUSLY ACCURATE (on both ends)
Same, I rush to objectives having to call another helldiver down every 15 seconds because they want to just sit and fight. Then they get mad because they are so far away (well why didn't the other two call you down while you were spamming the notification button?). I seem to always finish the hardest missions with less than 5 deaths, 0 friendly fire damage and having to do nearly every objective myself. (Also people getting mad your not calling them down while your Actively trying to disable a jammer. 😤)

I like the 380s, and they instantly kill them, and they USUALLY hit... they just... don't when you really really need them to, it seems.
It got me flashing back to Mass effect 3's multiplayer pizza delivery mission, when you sprint and drop but pick it up again to deliver it to the objective marker faster

It’s not always the hours played even, so many of the play behaviours are transferable. I was auto-matching into suicidal at rank 10-15 back before all the patch insanity and having a great time, while people 15-20 levels higher were treating every patrol like a mandatory encounter and just standing there fighting the forever horde getting overwhelmed then running right back into the swarm. You would be surprised how many people can be high level but utterly clueless. That said the Smurf newb is also an uncommon trait, most are low levels for a reason, smurfs rarely stay low level for long.
@@IRMentat I find people challenging difficulty 8 or over people tend to be far above difficulty 7 folk simply because they're willing to take the bigger challenge. Still, there's a lot to learn in this game that only gets spread through word of mouth and watching other players. Like juggling artillery shells or tapping Q to highlight enemies or points of interest, or once someone's done that to aim at that point and tap or hold Q to confirm/deny that thing. Or that you can "accidentally" friendly fire other helldivers sitting in the pelican if someone got on by "mistake" to stop the launch sequence.
I hate the fact that this is so true, but then again, we all started like this and it is our duty to support our fellow helldivers to carry this fight.
Now that I've used it, just can't go without it. Jet pack Light explosive resistance armor Purifier Stun grenade Grenade pistol Arc thrower EAT 500kg or Precision strike Has an answer for everything.
As a regular on difficulty 9s, too real. Only difference at 0:09, my dumb noob butt was walking into the death holes while looking at the map. Totally doesn't happen anymore now that I am more experienced. Totally. totally.
Best voiced one yet! Loved the contrast between the pro and noobs fucking up everything. And of course, climbing on top of every ammo resupply as soon as you touch it. The inside of the bot factory at the end was hilarious, and giving them an AI voice was a great touch

Yeah I've basically noticed that in all horde shooters (like name one it's probably gonna be the same case) the pro players are all like: "Hey see that boss, that horde of enemies, and their coming reinforcements? I'm going to solo all of that...with a knife...and not get hit once." And they usually do
The knife is secretly their ultimate weapon. Horde games usually give knife type weapons the highest mobility, and mobility means it's much easier to not get hit at all if you know how to use it. Then it's just a matter of clicking really fast until everything is dead.
i’m roughly level 87 and i can confirm that missions with less experienced players can be like that, but they make up for it with spirit. i do my best to help the lower level divers where i can
The only thing I don’t like about Carbot Animations is that only one comes out per week. I absolutely love these shorts. The part where he’s at the terminal and he’s messing up the first input had me dying 😂.
Solo player joins rando's Everyone dies, solo player ends up with 200 kills, and at least one intentional TK do to the guy throwing the resupply out constantly while running on the ohter side of the map.

Games like this (DRG) you only have a limited supply, and if someone is just dropping them all in one place during a time no one needs them and begins taking them when they're at full ammo, you wreck that dude. Luckily in DRG you can ban those people.

I wanted to TK him right there and kick but asked to stop. when they didn't. just Tked them on the drop ship and kicked the moment the match was over. They where warned.
Then there is the other veteran. The one that wears scout armor, runs from objective to objective while the rest of the squat has to deal with the Patrols he triggered. "Just run you noobs."

Came here to say this! Can't use anything but the jetpack for a while now. The mobility is too good to pass up. That and the Quasar canon.
