I have never seen anyone kept their monkeys way to adulthood...not one youutuber...their monkeys always disappear and new baby monkeys will appear..perhaps there is another one which is yoyo jr's owner who trains yoyo jr well but then yoyo jr is only 3 or 4 years old...yet to know...i'm not sure what happened to yoyo, his previous monkey tho...Jamil loves his monkeys and devoted his life to them...dogs and cats as well...this is just amazing...kudos to you jamil! I wish all youtubers are like you...unfortunately not :(

Now I don’t know a darn thing about raising monkeys but I saw that one coming. The first time his mouth opened Shaki moved back & started eating her sandwich. All was good until she went in for another sip. JK has his naughty pants on today. 😅 always keep Jamil busy

Absolutely right. JK does this all the time, it's not anything othet than his natural instincts. Every time Jamil does anything that could be considered showing dominance over JK - even something as simple as moving his leash, or moving his chair - JK then has to show that he is still "in charge", so to speak. So he lashes out at Shaki, or in some cases Shakina, whoever is close to him. It's not anything personal, just his instincts kicking in. I wonder if some people in this comments section forget that they are still wild animals, regardless of how well Jamil has then trained- and he has, for sure - but there will always be basic instincts in all animals that can never be domesticated out of them. That's just nature.
Yes that is so perfectly said. They are wild animals. They don't have reasoning like we do they work on their instincts and nothing else. They do what we want or trained them to do, for our positive affection and food. They can't love like we do. They don't have what makes us human. So we need to know Jamil loves them and they have a fondness to his love and what he provides. But believe me they would want to always be outside climing and social interaction with other monkeys. Jamil gave shaki and baby and she needed that. Now jk believe me and he will, he will have another female to mate with and to put in her place. But this is all my 2-cents 😀 I love Jamil and this chanel for showing the life if you keep the monkeys for life. Beyond the money cash in time, the long haul is what every channel should do. Shi it happens I’m surprised it happens as rarely as this just to show how kool they are usually with each other. But JK needs to remind both of the girls whose in charge every once in awhile just incase they forget and in shakina case she doesn’t even realize it and plays with him more then anything so she needs discipline asap. But shaki didn’t do anything wrong just to remind you but Jamil don’t try to make a grown male monkey share juice in one glass now, gotta remember he’s still a male alpha monkey and if she is drinking out of the same glass or in his eyes his juice she’s gonna get it as we just saw lol 😂 it’s just how it is nothing bad here just alpha male instinct and hierarchical rules that shakina needs to actually learn cuz Shaki understands

If Shakina would have threw or dropped her food on the floor Or knocked over the juice, Jamil would have lost it completely and threaten to throw her out of a window, or say that that is why Shaki attacks her etc….he would have threatened her the entire video…but he has so much patience with Shaki and JK and they are much older. Shakina still a baby.

I wonder if they are like a couple of toddlers in the morning and do a bunch of monkeying around Or If Jamil wakes up before them and Jk and Shaki are like me before I've had coffee lol Proof Satan is real.
As he gets older and grumpier he may end up biting or attacking one of the females because aggression is actually the macaque natural language/behaviors especially male macaque dealing with female macaque. They use physical force immediately it is their nature and instinct.
This is true in the wild, but with JK and the family, the rules don't always quite apply the same way. The hierarchy here is unique, and there will always be moments when JK's natural instincts kick in.
Good to see someone else who has done some actual reading up on macaques. I've worked with them for a long time, and I've have never seen a more unique environment for them to grow up in. Jamil has accomplished amazing things, and truly loves these animals. But even with that, basic instincts take thousands upon thousands of years for evolution to smooth them over. And JK isn't that old. :)
@@heavywoodsthey are actually correct in their comment, but that specifically applies to wild macaques. It isn't seen as much in male macaques in more domesticated situations, like a zoo or in a home.
So roll.your eyes all you want. From someone who has worked with these animals for years, it's nice to see other people in comments sections who obviously have taken time to research these animals for themselves. That doesn't make them an "expert", just informed.
Frankly, I'd rather read a comment like that, that is well thought out and researched, over people typing out baby talk and putting 700 emojis in their comments. Jamil's work with his family is incredibly unique, and some primatolgists and other professionals like myself watch Jamil not only for enjoyment, but to learn more about an animal that we share 98% of our DNA with, in an environment we don't get to be privy to otherwise.
