      Don't try memorize openings. As soon as someone goes off the lines you'll have no idea what to do. Check out Amman Hambletons building habbits on Chess Brah extra- I think that's the best way to learn principled chess.
      Not that this isn't a great video (it's great), but if you're stuck in the pit, I don't think openings like this are going to lift you too much. Learn to attack the centre and not blunder your peices :D

    • @drewm3807
      @drewm3807 2 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      At 200, or really anything below 1500, your fastest way to improve is to remember to blunder check before every move.

    Man, I remember years ago when I first started watching your channel. It was like this magical channel with a few thousand subscribers that just put out the most awesome content. It was the only place I could find asmr + chess. Sometimes the channel would stop uploading for a while, but so many of us would check almost weekly for a new upload because we loved this channel so much, and we knew when you came back it would be great. I’m so happy that you seem to be in a good place, and I feel so lucky/grateful we get these frequent videos & you get to be recognized for your efforts with sponsors and 50k subscribers. Wishing you the best and excited to see what’s next. Looking forward to 100k 👀

Since starting back at chess after playing very casually and infrequently for the past few years, I’ve been having these weird moments where I can see a chess board in my mind with a different position every time, and when playing games like fifa eith friends, I imagine the players as pieces, and when I realise this I snap out of it. Then they can open with 1. d4 as white and play the sicilian against 1. e4 and the budapest against 1. d4 as black.

    Beautiful video! i've been following the opening and have encounted the move e3 instead of h3 at 14:21. Haven't found an efective move to end in a favorable position. Any ideas??

      My idea is taking the knight on d2. You lose your check mating trap so you have to trade the bishop off so it doesn’t get trapped

    Be careful if he goes bishop f4 instead of using his horse to defend because if you move your bishop as plan to c5 he will move his pawn to defend but it will open his queen to your horse. Great video as always glad to know you have sponsors to be able to have a better income from your channel.

    After 'completing' the defence, should I look to clean up the fourth rank or pin the rook?

    31:26 At what depth was that? Because I analyzed that position and at depth 40 it's still at almost +3

    Have you seen variations where white quickly pursues a Q side fianchetto and castle in attempt to resolve the bad bishop, while changing the positional/sacrificial/attack zone advantages black seems to have K side with this initiative seizing Budapest nastiness? Also I think it is clear that 2: Pc4 is not the best response to 1:...Nf6 when there is as yet no pawn to gambit against.

    Thanks for the ideas! I’ve been having way more fun with this gambit. I have been having trouble where often after Qe7 my opponent plays e3, opening the bishop, giving the king more space, and forcing trades until I’m down a pawn in a room endgame. Could you go through those lines in your follow up video?

    • @ASMRChess
      @ASMRChess  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes but you have to give me the exact moves up to Qe7 so I'm sure I'll be giving advice on the correct position.
