For all the steps you need to set up 2-step verification - on a number of platforms... see below
To set up two-factor authentication 2FA for Gmail:
1. Open your Google Account
2. Navigate to Security section
3. Select 2-Step Verification
4. Click Get Started
Setup Options:
• Authenticator App - recommended
• Text Message
• Security Key
Recommended Steps:
• Choose Google Authenticator app for most secure method
• Set up a backup phone number
• Generate and safely store backup codes
• Verify your identity with a one-time code
Pro Tips:
• The authenticator app works offline
• Backup codes are crucial if you lose access to your primary device
• 2FA adds an extra security layer by requiring a second verification method beyond your password

To enable two-factor authentication 2FA on Telegram:
1. Open the Telegram app and tap the three-line menu icon.
2. Go to Settings
3. Select Privacy and Security
4. Tap Two-Step Verification
5. Choose Set Password
6. Create a strong, unique password
7. Optional- Set a recovery email address
Important Notes:
• The password adds an extra layer of security beyond the SMS code
• If you forget the password, you won’t be able to access Telegram from other devices
• Telegram uses the Secure Remote Password protocol version 6a for 2FA
Pro Tip: Choose a password hint that helps you remember your password, but isn’t easily guessable by others

To enable two-factor authentication 2FA on WhatsApp, follow these steps:
1. Open WhatsApp Settings
2. Tap Account
3. Select Two-step verification
4. Tap Turn on or Enable
5. Create a six-digit PIN of your choice
6. Confirm the PIN
7. Optionally add an email address for account recovery
Important Notes:
• Adding an email address is recommended but optional
• The PIN helps protect your account from unauthorized access
• WhatsApp will occasionally prompt you to enter this PIN to help you remember it
• If you forget your PIN, you’ll need to wait 7 days before resetting
Security Tip: Never share your two-step verification PIN with anyone

To enable two-factor authentication 2FA on Instagram, follow these steps:
1. Open the Instagram app
2. Tap your profile picture
3. Click the three lines in the top right corner
4. Go to Settings and privacy - Accounts Center
5. Select Passwords and security - Two-factor authentication
6. Choose Authentication app as your 2FA method
7. Download Google Authenticator recommended
8. Copy the provided authentication key
9. Open Google Authenticator, click the plus +" sign
10. Select Enter a setup key
11. Paste the key and name the account
12. Return to Instagram and enter the code from the authenticator app

To set up two-factor authentication 2FA on Twitter/X:
1. Open the Twitter/X app or website
2. Go to Settings and Privacy
3. Select Security and Account Access
4. Click Security
5. Choose Two-Factor Authentication
You have three 2FA options:
• Authentication App recommended
• Text Message - Twitter Blue users only
• Security Key
Authentication App Setup:
• Download an authenticator app like Google Authenticator
• Select Authentication App option
• Click Get Started
• Scan the QR code or enter the provided code manually
• Enter the verification code from the app
• Save the backup code in a secure location
Important Note: SMS-based 2FA is now limited to Twitter Blue subscribers. Non-Blue users must use an authenticator app or security key.
