When I first got into jazz, around 1972, there were two stand alone chord/melody guitar players: Joe Pass, and Lenny Breau. There were many others, of course, but those two really did it for me. Martin Taylor has to be number 3 in that rotation, and the position of the three is not important. Suffice it to say, they (imho) stand alone at the top of the pyramid.😮☝️👍
