Permanent tie is still the clove hitch, that will last as long as the material. However, ensure the clove hitch is not tied to a smooth object, if so, tie a lot of knots to the lash which will not come loose.
I have been struggling with the arbor knot for so long like a mental hang up where my brain turns to mush and can't see the solution. Then... "Make a bird beak..." make a freaking bird beak. 🤦 🙏
