"In life you get EXACTLY what you tolerate." Boundaries setting is a self care/self love act. It can be scary but it's necessary, I've had to do it with family, friends and co-workers, you have to be okay with the outcome no matter what it is, if you lose people for setting boundaries then so be it. It shows you who really loves and values you, Why would you want to be close with people that disrespect you? Exactly. Feel your feelings, it's your survival mechanism telling you theres something off. If your nervous system feels off, those anxious feelings are there for a reason, if you feel unsafe make sure to prioritize yourself. Sometimes we may exhibit trauma responses. (fight, flight, freeze, fawn) Understanding them better can help you understand yourself more. I took therapy this year to understand my past trauma and it was the hardest and best thing I ever did to be honest. I DON'T tolerate disrespect anymore, I put myself and my needs first. Srry for the long comment, I hope it can help someone!
the worst kind of manipulation is the non-direct one, like the one where the person doesn't tell you to not do this or that and even tells you the contrary but acts in a way that implement that "there will be consequences" feelings and when you talk to them about it their response is "but you can leave if you want" like it's the most insidious and easiest trap to fall into, even when you are a secure aware person, it's so upsetting, especially when you're someone who knows all that already
I love these little chit chating therapy for me as a younger teen girl its hard to find balance in trusting someone and putting bounderise betrween them and me in my life .
I just wanted to recommend the book, women that run with wolves… your energy remembered me of this book. Im just reading it! Thank you for recommending it to more women🧡
Listening to you is like listening to a friend, it is so refreshing as ever to be able to hear your thoughts and reflections about life, Thank you inayah ♥
when my head is all over the place, i just watched you every time. you're like my online therapist without you even knowing. thank you for your life, inayah!
These are like a steady therapy session to me. I jot down the key moments in my journal of what’s being said and try to stick to it. Along with remembering and using the advice when the time comes
Can you touch on insecurity, and comparison,I find myself as I get older comparing myself more & more to women, even women I deeply love & appreciate & it’s really hard to feel good about myself & relationships with other women when my thoughts are so negatively charged.
This video was very interesting to me as a young fem person who just left a very turbulent relationship with my ex bf that had untreated bpd and i felt like he always pushed my boundaries but never knew it was intentional and at times still wonder. I miss him so much at times but man....
im going to cut a very long story short. i am an equestrian, and (this is happening, like, as im writing this) and for the past 4 years i have been with the same trainer for the whole time. to start, i really took off in my riding, i dont say that to brag but i really improved a lot faster than most people did. mind you, i am a teenager, and so i am still young, i have my moments, and im learning. pretty early in my riding career i got a young (inexperienced [aka green]) horse, and my trainer said that she would train both of us. however, she would always say "oh, other trainers wont want to train you AND your horse at the same time because you're both young and inexperienced" she was trying to lock us in. she wouldn't let us handle vet stuff on our own, she wouldn't let us buy tack for the horse on our own, she wouldn't let us trailer our own horse, she was making us dependent on her. and to make it worse, she has always said "most trainers in the equestrian world will get you into riding and will make you buy a really nice horse and then they take that horse around the world to show it and win everything on it, just so they can use your money" and how "so many trainers are manipulative, but i'm not, i am an honest trainer who doesn't make everything expensive" to cut this to the end, i've known she was manipulative and i've brought it up to my mom but i haven't been able to do anything about it because i am a teen. recently, my trainer has gotten "sick" and everyone has FINALLY realized she is being manipulative, and tomorrow me and the other horse owner at the barn are moving trainers and locations. this isn't including the paranoia, lying, manipulation, abuse, neglect, and her staying up from 12AM-5AM every night to be on tiktok live for 5 random viewers, the "depression" as she is doing a full face of makeup to make cringey tiktoks (while simotaneously complaining about how the equestrian world isn't professional) she makes her mom (70 yrs old, who works a full time job) clean stalls, waking up at 5am, feeding and watering horses, going to work 9-5 and then coming back to clean stalls until 11PM, and her mom knows NOTHING about horses. so glad we're getting out, although i'm feeling a lot of guilt about not being as strong in my arguments against her.
Also, the part where she said "they will try to convince you that your boundaries are wrong" and that's the thing, I went into the equestrian world to this trainer not knowing anything, she made me rely on her for everything! it is crazy what people will do.
This is a topic that so much so I'm personally resonated with. However, I just have this curiosity and a question to ask. Are you aware of manipulation It's not about age at all. It's not only older people manipulating younger people. There is a huge majority right now that because of their background, how they grow up the trauma that they experienced while they're still younger age like just the over 20s. They're very manipulative too which in most cases are Culver narcissists, especially manipulative to older people now who are still believing the world and the environment. The typical manipulation they do is playing the victim card especially using their trauma like the past and they're using their wound to do. Do the manipulation around the people they know.
Every time someone mentions 'women who run with the wolves' i feel tempted to read it but, is the book really about women in general or it is about straight white girls/women experiences? Is there intersectionality in the texts? It's a genuine question.
Valid! The book is by a psychoanalyst who explores the instinctual nature of women. She uses ancient stories & fairy tales deriving from different cultures all over the world that personify the wisdom to help reconnect with their passion, creativity, intuition, etc. Hope this helped and lmk if you give it a read and what you think!
I love that you have the shot of pomegranate. The fruit of intuition in witchcraft.

Please remember any person who genuinely loves and cares about you would never treat you that way. Period.
