Having dark circles is one thing. Having blue purple darkness in the corner, hollow of the eye is another thing. The second is my case and it's a reason we go for brighter rather than wornout with a headache look.😢 😊

I like sunscreen sprays over makeup not because of the sun protection but because it gives a beautiful glow over makeup. It's hard to explain but when I saw JLo's MUA use it to achieve the JLo glow I was hooked! I do agree to always start with a high spf base layer ❤

I would love to see you review the new Vichy mineral 89 cream fragrance free! This looks so good and I’m very excited to try it myself. It is $32 and I’m waiting for Sue to pick it up. Right now I use the Vichy Aqualita fragrance free cream and love it. I don’t know how they would compare to Neutrogena hydroboost because I have not tried that one yet.

Haven't been to ULTA in a while so this was fun. I'm always interested to know your thought on the products. You made a similar comment about under eye dark circles a few years ago and as someone who has them, I had a light bulb moment and realized no amount of color correction and concealer is ever going to completely hide them. So I've tried to embrace them as best I can but wish people would stop telling me I look tired or even worse, ask who hit me. Yep, they're that bad! Happy Monday, Dr Dray!! Hope you have a peaceful evening. 💚

I’ve used the elf sunbeam since it came out and it’s BEAUTIFUL on its own, with 2 conditions: you aren’t using makeup over it and you don’t get “too much” (equivalent to the amount you actually need). It pills like crazy if you meet either of those conditions, which sucks bc it’s beautiful on the skin.

I purchased the ELF Mineral Sunscreen spray for my face to reapply SPF after 2 hours before Dr. Dray told us it needs to be rubbed in with your hands. I'm using it for the backs of my hands. The Ordinary has some good products. I alternate between the Lactic Acid 5% and 10% depending on what is going on with my skin. Always patch test is my advice because my skin reacted badly to both their Caffeine EGCG and Resveratrol serums.

Hello! I love these visits! Curious about hair care after you mentioned Bumble and Bumble products. The fragrance in hair care products irritates my scalp - or I think it's that or essential oils/floral waters - so I am trying what you recommended, Function of Beauty. In my formula, do you rec salicylic acid in a daily shampoo for an itchy scalp (it could be due to my styling paste - Bumble and Bumble, highly fragranced)? P.S. Thank you for saying under eye circles are beautiful. Every salesperson wants to cover them. I've embraced them.

Dark circles and under eye bags run in my family. When I was a little girl, people used to ask my mom if I was sick b/c of the dark circles...they were bad. In my early 40's I started getting bags, so I had a cosmetic procedure to clean up my under eyes. It worked, but, it was weird to see myself without the dark circles. I have to say I kinda missed them. I think they became a part of my identity in a weird way. Anyway, I'm on your side...I like them. 😵‍💫

Speaking of body odor, I've been eating natto all this year (fermented soybeans) and find that I don't need any deoderant anymore. Maybe it's the beneficial bacteria that keeps odor causing bacteria at bay? I'm mainly eating it for the vitamin K2 benefits, to help my bones absorb calcium instead of the calcium going to arteries, etc. I feel like it also helps my skin because of its probiotic benefits, which help my gut absorb nutrients I need for good health. I just turned 70, so I need all good things to keep me healthy. I wish I had discovered this channel years ago, by the way! :)

Our ultas (Modesto CA and Riverbank CA ) push peach and lily down your throat as soon as you enter the store . Thanks for talking about the potential irritation because I saw that a lot of them have essential oils yet they supposedly refer everyone and their mother n law to these products especially for “sensitive skin” ! A lot of people buy into the “clean beauty “ crap !!’ It’s cash grabs !

I wear a full face of makeup a few times a week. I always use a sunscreen base of at least 30SPF. Lately I have been seeing everyone come out with setting spray with SPF to be used after you apply your makeup. Do you think this is an effective step to add? Always looking to step up my sunscreen game!

In her videos/shorts on reapplying sunscreen over makeup she doesn't recommend sprays even with SPF over makeup. There are other dermatology channels that have recommended them like the one from kate somerville and the soleil toujours.

Dr. Dray…some of these products like Peter Thomas Roth water drench cream…while you say it is good…I just wonder..is it worth the price? Since discovering Korean skin care, I find K-beauty products to be such quality products at great prices. Now, when I see American products (like PTR), it just strikes me that the prices are outrageous..and there is likely a k beauty product that is the same for 1/3 of the price….
