This year’s edition took place on Saturday (July 13, 2019), as villagers and guests donned their traditional wedding best to take part in a wedding procession reenactment, and showcase the island’s unique cultural heritage.

These dances are cool but I am obsessed with the Tambrin music. It's so beautiful and driving.

This is so important. My cousin scolded me for not knowing how to brush back. And I am a Soca choreographer. In my vocabulary, Folk dance is a category of dance that every Soca dancer should be learned in.

I used to think my Tobago relatives were doing too much... but Tobago really keeps up the connection to the past that can help us evolve into the future

thanks so much for sharing! I am 3rd gen. American Trin./Tobago and Guyanese. unfortunately, my Grandparents are gone and I didn't really get to learn everything about our heritage, so it's nice to be able to see this. I just wish there was more stuff like this up here most of the stuff I find about Trinidad pertains to Hindu descent. and I know why but it still would be nice to see more for Tobago as well.
