      The first time hearing "...but he loves you" after the description of psychpathic Penalties, breaking one of his laws, I had to laugh again and again uring the next 1, or 2 hours.. What an excellent pointedness.
      Let´s clone him, hoping the core of his character would also be there again.
      But...Bullshit to cover the Fact, that he is and will stay gone. What a man.

    It says a lot about humanity that the only people that are allowed to speak the truth are "comedians". Seems that if someone stood up in parliment and spoke about this stuff, they'd be laughed at.. George obviously knew this which is why he chose to be "labeled" as a comedian, because it is the only way to get these messages across, if a politician trys to speak like this, he or she would get booed off!

    • @KidsWithGuns1992
      @KidsWithGuns1992 7 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Cause politicians are paid out and "play the game". They don't speak out, because none of them want to, otherwise they lose monetary favour. They're a joke on society and everyone hates them. Don't go to politicians to hear the truth.

      Actually comedians aren’t the only ones that can say these things. Most people are scared to say these things because they’ll lose friends and their jobs. Comedians say it because they’re not afraid to lose either.

      Here is how you fix the politician's and lawmakers.... require that they have a physics degree, I mean after all shouldn't you know how the universe and reality function if your going to make laws which govern the occupants of reality?

    • @msDanielp369
      @msDanielp369 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      yes that’s what I was thinking about. imagine the same things spoken but without humor and reality going straight. people as retarded as they are would not listen unless you make it somehow fitting in their realities, like humor does. or do compelling storytelling.

    When I was watching the segment on the Airline Safety Announcement I was reminded of a flight I took, some years ago, on Alaskan Airlines from Seattle to San Fransisco. The flight attended said, “ We are now obliged by Federal Law to give you the safety announcements but we should warn you that, in the unfortunate event we have to ditch in the cold and freezing ocean, your chances of survival,are nil! “ I told this story to a flight attendant on Indian Airlines on a flight to Amritsar. She laughed out loud and said how true it was.

      And realistic.
      I´m German :-) Fortunately we were democratic and constitutional all the time. We only had a few misunderstandings with Austrians as Chancellor, or something...
      It sounds like this, with the GDR avenging angel Merkel. On the 75th anniversary of the attack on the Soviet Union in 1941, "our" psycho president (no power, only for the cameras and blah blah) Gauck said nothing to the Russians. No, one thing. He warned Putin against violence. Because Putin is in line with Hitler. WE had to know. My Goodness. Noone shot him in his Psycho-Grimace.
      I love Carlin. He understood People without a blinker and SAID IT so clear. My God: We like War about Bush. I pissed in my trousers. And voting Politicians...for Germany it would be complete right. "That´s all we can do, Folks. So the Public sucks"
      Still 989 Years left he looks to us from distance. Next Big War? Any Bets?

    • @jerrycooper1428

      The opposite of his argument could also be said, with the treatment of Americans held in Japanese prisoner of war camps. Where were their rights. Two rights don’t make a wrong!

    • @Anonymous-hx3te
      @Anonymous-hx3te 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@jerrycooper1428 I know this comment is 5 months old, but I can't figure out if you're being sarcastic or not. Given the intricacies of this community I'm going to assume you aren't. The Japanese-Americans had exactly how much to do with the PoW camps in Japan? Right, nothing. You know who's to blame for PoW's? The government. They're the ones who sent the soldiers there.

    I will never forget the experience of seeing two comic geniuses just weeks apart at the Circle Star Theater in San Carlos California. It was the end of an era when theater in-the-round was waning. But, Richard Pryor and George Carlin were memorable and left an indelible impression on me. I laughed and I cried. I was in awe of Pryor for having the guts to come out of the darkest moment in his life and making it funny. What courage he demonstrated. And George was on fire. The laughs were so steady that my sides hurt 15 minutes into the start of the show. George Carlin was a true genius.

    3:35 a little political science lesson for you here. He juxtaposed rights/privileges, but he could have just a easily juxtaposed freedom/liberty.
    And now you may know the difference between them, folks.

      Think Retardistani’s are even able tell the difference?

    • @BigBri550
      @BigBri550 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AnthonyTolhurst-dw1nc Well, I don't blame anyone for not being able to distinguish: all four of these terms have long tended to be used interchangeably even though they technically shouldn't. For instance, our civil _liberties_ are verbally embodied in a set of Constitutional amendments known as the Bill of _Rights._ Also consider how "liberty" is one the things listed under "inalienable rights" in the Declaration of Independence.
      I would argue that "rights," being entirely semantic and conceptual in its nature, is nonexistent. It's a bit like the concept of _entitlement._ Who, by any law of science or nature, is actually entitled to anything? A title, like any treaty, contract, or bank note, is basically worth less than the paper it is printed on if it is not recognized by other people.

    I would argue that George Carlin was a perfect example of a happy person who was smart, and logical.

    Good that you found him his mindset is just ahead of his time hes just 100% logical and realist.Sure some fans might not agree with 100% of what he says but most of what he says it said in the most logical way possible , and funny. I suggest you watch all of his stand ups specials.

    one thing I think Carlin would not find surprising: According to the FAA, the final words heard on 80% of cockpit voice recorders before a lethal crash? "Oh, shit"

    Interesting bit on the seatbelt in planes: in the event of a crash, people will often try to press a button that’s not there on the seatbelt since they’re panicking.
