Excellent presentation. Makes me wonder how many DIY projects are going to be disappointed when the SHTF, and how many will go to home improvement stores and buy what some TH-camr recommends, scary stuff

That’s actually a medium pressure system , high pressure is 5 lbs. they won’t supply that to residential except for special applications. You can run 2lbs thru a house and use several different ventless regulators on manifolds to catch the house appliances. I’ve done this many times on big houses with tankless water heaters, to save running 11/2” or 2” screw pipe

If I'm running a portable 28000 peak watt/20000 running watt, generator with quick connect down stream of the meter, would I need to upgrade the meter (250k) or the regulator to high pressure? Thanks for the great video and explanation.

Centerpoint said today that they upgrade the meter. So I’m confused. If you have a 250k meter they would have to change it

When Centerpoint came out for my generator install they put 2lbs reg before the meter (meter was upgraded to the new style, same capacity) 7"WC reg going into the house. Generator folks installed a 7"WC reg. on line going to the generator. Hope that helps.

if its a 2 # system the dial on the meter needs too be red too compensate for 2#
